A huge crowd of devotees gathered to take a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam during the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj

Prayagraj: On Friday, a sizable contingent of worshippers flocked to Prayagraj for the current Maha Kumbh Mela in order to bathe in the revered Triveni Sangam. Since the start of the 2025 Maha Kumbh Mela, approximately 491.4 million pilgrims have dipped in the Triveni Sangam, which is the meeting point of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the legendary Saraswati, according to the Uttar Pradesh government.

Nearly 8.54 million individuals took holy dives today as of 8:00 PM, according to the Uttar Pradesh government’s information department. Over 6.42 million pilgrims and over 500,000 Kalpavasis have swum among this crowd.

During the current Mahakumbh, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha and his spouse took a sacred bath in Triveni Sangam. Saha prayed for Tripura’s peace and prosperity at the holy Ganga River.

I was fortunate enough to take a plunge at Prayagraj’s Mahakumbh today. It was a memorable experience because of the holy water, heavenly energy, and spiritual environment. Saha wrote on X, “I prayed to Ganga Maiya for the peace and prosperity of the entire Tripura.”

Earlier today, state ministers and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai took a sacred bath in Triveni Sangam at the Mahakumbh. He prayed for Chhattisgarh’s well-being and praised Yogi Adityanath and his administration for the Mahakumbh preparations.

On Thursday, actor Vivek Oberoi and his family traveled to Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh 2025 to bathe in the sacred Triveni Sangam, which is the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers.

Oberoi expressed his gratitude to the Uttar Pradesh government for the Mahakumbh preparations and expressed his pride in the nation’s loving celebration of the largest festival in the globe.

“We’re here to give thanks to God… We would want to express our gratitude to the Indian government, particularly the Uttar Pradesh government, its administration, and each and every official in attendance for their excellent preparations. Oberoi told the media report, “I’m very delighted that our nation is hosting the largest festival in the globe in such a lovely manner today.

Beginning on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), Maha Kumbh 2025 is the biggest spiritual and cultural event in the world, drawing followers from all over the world. The spectacular extravaganza will go on till February 26th, Mahashivratri.
