A dome city with luxurious hotel facilities is being built in the Arail area of Prayagraj
In Prayagraj’s Arail neighborhood, a dome city with upscale hotel amenities is being built to house pilgrims for the forthcoming Mahakumbh 2025, which is set for January 10–February 24.
Images that surfaced revealed that the dome was equipped with advanced amenities.
The project’s chief architect, Aishwarya Choudhary, said that this is the first time a dome city of this size is being created for the Mahakumbh and that the domes built would provide the devotees with the amenities of a five-star hotel.
In an interview with media, Choudhary stated: “This is the first time a dome city is being built in Mahakumbh. All the amenities of a five-star hotel are available in the domes. We have made sure that the domes feature traditional and cultural elements in consideration of the devotees.
In addition, the chief architect said that 50% of the reservations had already been booked and that reservations could be made online.
“The devoted may make reservations online. Half of the reservations have already been made,” she said.
Speaking about the preparations, Uttar Pradesh Minister Nand Gopal Gupta said that 40–45 crore people are anticipated to attend the Mahakumbh.
“We anticipate between 40 and 45 crore visitors to the Mahakumbh. Additionally, six aerobridges are being added to the Prayagraj airport as part of an overhaul. Many foreign travelers have also asked for the city’s customs clearing services. The city will have air access to between 20 to 25 other cities.
During the Mahakumbh, a number of charter and commercial planes would arrive here,” the UP Minister told media.
Gupta further emphasized that Prayagraj’s economy will be greatly boosted by the Mahakumbh, drawing tourists from both local and foreign countries.
He said, “The festival will also give a boost to the economy of Prayagraj…”
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on December 23 that the Central and State Governments, together with several ministries, were coordinating well and that the Mahakumbh preparations were moving quickly.
After assessing the Mahakumbh 2025 preparations at Prayagraj, he spoke to reporters and emphasized the tremendous amount of work being done, saying, “Every institution is actively engaged to ensure the success of this grand event.”
Mahakumbh, according to CM Yogi, is not only a religious celebration but also a unique chance for Prayagraj to demonstrate its unmatched hospitality. He called on Prayagraj residents to work together to make this event a huge success and improve the city’s standing internationally.
The Mahakumbh, which takes place in Prayagraj once every twelve years, is set to start on January 13 and end on February 26, 2025.
The three biggest bathing festivals are scheduled for January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya), and February 3 (Basant Panchami). These events are called “Shahi Snan” (royal baths).
