Israel carried out air strikes in several areas of central Syria, killing four people and injuring 13

Israel: According to Syria’s official news agency, SANA, Israeli airstrikes on Sunday night struck many localities in central Syria, resulting in at least four fatalities and thirteen injuries.

Along a highway in the province of Hama, the attacks resulted in considerable damage and flames that firemen were still fighting to contain early on Monday.

According to SANA, the raids, which struck many locations in the area, were met with a response by Syrian air defenses.

Thirteen injured were sent to Masyaf National Hospital in the western province of Hama, and four individuals lost their lives. Whether the dead were militants or civilians is still up for debate.

One of the attacks, according to the UK-based monitor Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, was on a scientific research facility in Masyaf where Iranian scientists and militias are allegedly building weaponry. Additionally, hits near Tartous, a seaside city, were reported by local media.

Regarding the attacks, which are a part of a wider campaign aimed against Syrian military and organizations with Iranian support, Israel has not responded.

Israel has promised to break Iran’s military encirclement in Syria, which is a vital supply line for armaments to Hezbollah, a terrorist organization based in Lebanon.

Following the murder of three private security guards at the King Hussein (Allenby) Bridge crossing between the occupied West Bank and Jordan, Israel has blocked all border crossings with Jordan.

The assailant, who came in a vehicle from the adjacent Jordanian village of al-Karameh, according to the Israeli military, started shooting at the guards early on Sunday morning. The assailant was “eliminated” by Israeli authorities, and an inquiry is still in progress.

For the last eleven months, Hezbollah and Israeli soldiers have been at odds over Israel’s assault in Gaza against Hamas, Hezbollah’s allies.
