MP Pappu Yadav also joined the protest of BPSC candidates and made this request
Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) candidates demanded a re-examination of the 70th BPSC test on Tuesday, continuing their prolonged hunger strike.
Purnia’s independent MP, Pappu Yadav, attended the BPSC candidates’ demonstration and asked opposition MPs and MLAs to back the students’ cause.
“We want all the opposition MPs and MLAs to come here too. People should sit outside the houses of ruling party MPs and MLAs across Bihar. What is the politics in this?” the Purnia Independent MP told media. The only demand of these protesters, who have been there for days, is that the tests be retaken.
YouTuber and teacher Faisal Khan, often known as Khan Sir, paid a visit to the hunger strike participants on Tuesday.
After meeting with the students who were protesting, Faisal Khan told media that the Bihar Public Service Commission should take into account the situation of the people who have been on a hunger strike for the last four to five days. He pointed out that four to five of them are in critical condition and are currently in the intensive care unit (ICU).
“No one is inquiring about these folks, who have been on a hunger strike for five days. Now, their situation has become very bad. The Commission need to consider the students who are now on a hunger strike after their test appearance. We’ve submitted a PIL to the HC.
If necessary, we will also appeal to the Supreme Court. It is our duty to persuade the government and the commission… Four or five of the patients are in critical condition and have been admitted to the intensive care unit,” Faisal Khan said.
In order to address purported anomalies during the 70th BPSC test, BPSC candidates met with Dilip Jaiswal, the president of the Bihar Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), at his home on December 21.
Protesters in Patna demanded a re-examination of the Bihar Public Service Commission at a demonstration on December 18.
In order to get around the normalization procedure, students studying for BPSC tests previously demonstrated against changes to exam patterns and the normalization process. They asked that exams be administered in a single shift using a single paper.
