The Chief Minister visited the under-construction Tent City at the fairgrounds on Monday while in Prayagraj to assess the preparations, according to an official statement. Given the frigid weather, he underlined the need of scheduling meals and other preparations in advance.

The completely furnished tent city that is being built in Arail, on the banks of the Sangam, is expected to house nearly 6,000 people, the Chief Minister was told. The whole camp is being tastefully adorned.

Additionally, the CM said that the people are really excited about living in the tent city during the Maha Kumbh and promised that it will be a wonderful experience.

Officials told the Chief Minister about the substantial preparations being made for the impending Maha Kumbh during his visit to check the arrangements at the VIP Circuit House. A total of 250 camps, including 175 for judges, will be erected in the Mela Circuit House under protocol administration.

Furthermore, around 2,200 camps are being set up in the tent city. Three officers at the ADM level are part of the whole team being sent to supervise the preparations. In addition, arrangements are being made for 50 golf carts, 50 tourist guides, four VIP boats, five motorboats, six floating jetties, and two cruises.

The Chief Minister conducted the Ganga Aarti at the recently built Dashashwamedh Ghat during a one-day visit to Prayagraj, as Vedic hymns were being chanted. He also went to the Dashashwamedh Mahadev temple to ask for blessings for Maha Kumbh 2025’s successful planning.

The Chief Minister said that constant communication and collaboration with the Central Hospital of the Mela should be maintained while examining the Swaroop Rani Hospital and Burn Unit, which are crucial for medical amenities during the Mahakumbh. According to him, the complete healthcare system has to run around the clock to guarantee that both permanent and temporary hospitals have an adequate supply of physicians, paramedics, and medications.

The chief minister also emphasized that staff shift obligations should be closely adhered to and that separate wards for men and women are being established. He also directed that during crises, ambulance response times be kept to a minimum.

He also ordered extra attention to be given to the ladies, handicapped people, and older children who were visiting the fair. It is important to note that Swaroop Rani Hospital’s 48-bed burn unit has both an intensive care unit and an operating room.

The Chief Minister underlined the need for improved cooperation between the state administration and railway authorities while on a visit to Prayagraj Railway Junction. According to him, the easiest method for pilgrims to get about is via train. An estimated 10 crore people are anticipated to use the train this time to see the Maha Kumbh. The Chief Minister recommended that railway announcements be provided in a number of regional languages in order to guarantee easy transit for passengers arriving from different states.

He examined the action plan and said that highway buses would be available to convey guests from the train station to the Maha Kumbh Mela location during a short discussion with railway authorities.

The Chief Minister started his inspection by going to the railroads’ medical assistance center, where plans are being made to examine passengers in advance if they get unwell while the fair is going on. He then gave a tour of the railway shelter’s amenities, which can house up to 5,000 people.

The Chief Minister was informed by railway authorities that separate shelters with a capacity of 22,000 people had been constructed at Prayagraj Junction this time, and that the railway has made plans for shelter for 1 lakh people across Prayagraj.

He also spoke with train staff on fire safety precautions and asked about the mobile ticketing service that was implemented during the Maha Kumbh using the special UTS. He also inspected Prayagraj Railway Junction’s railway control room during his tour.

In order to assess the current Maha Kumbh preparations, the Chief Minister also paid a visit to Prayagraj Airport.

In order to guarantee that all work was finished by the first week of January, he visited the whole site, spoke with airport authorities, and gave the required orders.

He expressed his happiness with the development and underlined the need of improving passenger amenities since the Maha Kumbh, which begins on January 13, is anticipated to bring a significant flood of pilgrims through the airport.

The Chief Minister took a break from his schedule to evaluate the preparations, concentrating on the extension of the existing structure, parking facilities, and the newly constructed terminal, according to Prayagraj Airport Director Mukesh Upadhyay.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence in the current work after seeing the whole layout design at the project site. In order to handle the anticipated increase in passenger traffic, he directed that all preparations be finished by the end of December.

In order to guarantee preparedness for both day and night flight operations by the deadline, Upadhyay promised that preparations are moving quickly and are being conducted on a war footing.
