Delhi Police busts major illegal immigration racket, arrests 11

New Delhi: According to sources, Delhi Police have uncovered a significant illegal immigration ring and detained 11 people, including computer specialists who constructed phony websites, Aadhaar operators, and document forgers.

Ankit Chauhan, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South, said that the accused helped Bangladeshi citizens by using a phony website to produce fraudulent voter IDs, Aadhaar cards, and other falsified papers.

DCP Chauhan told ANI that the illegal immigrants entered Indian territory using fast trains and forest trails.
He said that 11 suspects have been detained so far for helping Bangladeshi nationals use fraudulent identification documents obtained via phony websites.

He stated that the accused utilized voter ID cards, Aadhaar, and other papers made using false identification via a phony website.

The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi has instructed the Commissioner of Police and the Chief Secretary to begin a two-month special effort to find and punish illegal immigrants from Bangladesh who are living in the nation’s capital.

Over a thousand illegal immigrants from Bangladesh have been discovered so far in the city, according to Delhi police sources.

Interrogations, document review, and door-to-door verification were all part of the police effort. Targeted operations were carried out by special teams made up of foreign cells and local police.
