Hanuman Ashtami celebrated with pomp during Bhasma Aarti at Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain
Ujjain: To commemorate Hanuman Ashtami with fervor and grandeur, Lord Mahakal was dressed as Lord Hanuman at Monday’s Bhasma Aarti at the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple. The only festival of its sort in India is this one, which takes place in Ujjain.
Devotees were ecstatic as they saw the holy presence of Lord Hanuman and Baba Mahakaleshwar during the aarti. In their prayers, devotees asked Baba Mahakal, Lord Ram, and Lord Hanuman for blessings.
The Mahakaleshwar Temple is said to be the home of Lord Hanuman, who bestows blessings on his followers. As followers enthusiastically celebrated Hanuman Ashtami, this belief contributed to the joyous atmosphere.
According to priest Mahesh Sharma, Mata Anjani’s penance resulted in the birth of Lord Hanuman, who is an avatar of Lord Shiva. Hanuman Ashtami and Hanuman Jayanti are both widely observed holidays in Ujjain. He said that the Mahakal Temple observes all Sanatan Dharma-related holidays according to custom.
Lord Hanuman’s symbolic decoration on Mahadev on this particular day emphasizes the heavenly favor that believers get.
They are said to acquire the devotion of Lord Ram, Lord Shiva, and Lord Hanuman upon seeing Lord Hanuman on Hanuman Ashtami.
On Sunday, Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, the Union Minister, also paid a visit to the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple. “I’m here for the first time to witness Baba Mahakal’s darshan, and it feels wonderful,” he told the media report. I’ve wanted to go to this sacred location and ask Baba for his blessings for a long time. I am thankful to Shankar Lalwani and our MP Anil Firojiya for facilitating my visit and urging me to do so.”
“The entire temple complex, which was built under the direction of the former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, is incredibly well-maintained,” he said. Devotees now enjoy a lovely and tranquil setting thanks to the MPs’ and the local government’s efforts. Every day, a large number of people from Andhra Pradesh come here to seek the blessings of Baba Mahakal.
The possibility for more development was also emphasized by Naidu, especially the suggestion for an airport close to the temple. “The Chief Minister and Members of Parliament like Anil have actively pushed for it,” he added. To move this initiative forward more quickly, we will collaborate closely with the state government.”
In closing, he promised that the federal government would fully support efforts to improve amenities and connection for devotees. “This will allow them to pray and seek Baba’s blessings with peace of mind,” he said.
