BJP’s Bansuri Swaraj said this while announcing schemes to Arvind Kejriwal

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal was criticized by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Bansuri Swaraj on Sunday for announcing two welfare programs, the Mukhya Mantri Mahila Samman Yojana and the Sanjeevani Yojana, and urging him to “stop deceiving voters” in the nation’s capital ahead of the assembly elections.

Swaraj said that the AAP-led Punjab government has yet to deliver on comparable pledges, including giving women direct financial transfers.

“I want Arvind Kejriwal to quit using electoral tricks to mislead the people of Delhi. He made similar claims that funds will be sent to women’s accounts in Punjab. The Punjabi ladies are still waiting for a single rupee today. Their accounts have not received any money,” Swaraj informed the journalists.

Kejriwal said earlier today that tomorrow (December 23) will mark the start of registration for the Mukhya Mantri Mahila Samman Yojana and the Sanjeevani Yojana in the nation’s capital.

While the Sanjeevani Yojana would pay for older adults’ medical bills at private or public hospitals over the age of 60, the Mahila Samman Yojana guarantees women in Delhi Rs 2,100 each month.

Swaraj also criticized the Sanjeevani Yojana, pointing out that Kejriwal has refused to carry out the Union Government’s Ayushman Bharat initiative, even though he has announced a health program.

“I want to question him on the Sanjeevani Yojana: why did you disregard the elderly after over ten years in power? Did Delhi’s elderly not deserve attention in the past? The Delhi High Court has even questioned why your administration is preventing the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat initiative in our country.

“His hateful politics are keeping Delhi residents from taking advantage of a welfare program like Ayushman Bharat,” Swaraj said.
