PM Modi lauds ‘Made in India’ in Kuwait
During his two-day visit to Kuwait, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the rising significance of trade and business in bolstering India-Kuwait bilateral relations.
The Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, has invited PM Modi to visit the Gulf country of Kuwait for two days. This is the first Indian prime minister to visit Kuwait in forty-three years.
He emphasized their energy relationship, the notable increase in two-way commerce, and the growing presence of “Made in India” goods in Kuwait’s diverse sectors in an interview with Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Saturday.
“Our bilateral relationship has been firmly based on trade and business. There has been an increase in our bilateral commerce. PM Modi said, “Our energy partnership adds a unique value to our bilateral trade.”
“We are pleased to see ‘Made in India’ goods expanding in Kuwait, especially in the automotive, electrical and mechanical equipment, and telecommunications sectors. India is now producing top-notch goods at the lowest possible cost.
To increase bilateral trade, diversification to non-oil commerce is essential,” the prime minister said.
He also discussed expanding the possibilities for cooperation in a variety of industries, including textiles, digital, health, and innovation.
According to KUNA, PM Modi said that India and Kuwait have a long and strong connection that has always been characterized by warmth and friendliness. He also stated that historical crosscurrents and interactions involving ideas and business have brought people closer together.
Since the beginning of time, we have exchanged goods and services. Failaka Island’s findings reveal our common history. Up until 1961, the Indian Rupee was accepted as legal money in Kuwait for more than a century. PM Modi told KUNA, “This demonstrates how closely our economies were integrated.”
“Overall, the bilateral ties are progressing well and, if I may say so, scaling new heights,” he said. In order to strengthen our relations in a number of sectors, like as energy, commerce, investment, and defense, I am excited to speak with His Highness the Emir.
The results of our relationship in the twenty-first century must be as vibrant, powerful, and diverse as the deep roots of our historical connections. Although we have accomplished a great deal together, the potential for our collaboration is endless. This visit will undoubtedly give it new life.
