“The government wants to make sure that as many young people as possible participate in Viksit Bharat”: Union MoS Raksha Khadse
New Delhi: Raksha Khadse, the Union Minister of State for Youngsters Affairs and Sports, emphasized the need of bringing young people and the government closer together. He also said that 1.5 crore youngsters had registered on the MyBharat platform.
“The Indian government is attempting to increase the level of interaction between the young and the government… So far, 1.5 crore youngsters have enrolled on my Bharat site. The government aims to make sure that as many young people as possible participate in Viksit Bharat. Women will be able to contribute to sports and whatever other career they are pursuing thanks to the “Asmita” site,” Khadse told ANI.
The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports launched the MyBharat Portal as a way to empower Indian youth via practical skills, educational equality, and social mobility.
The site offers chances for social projects, work experience, and skill development by connecting youth with ministries, public and private organizations, and educational institutions.
“State has a big role in sports,” Khadse told ANI, going into detail about the 2036 Olympic preparations and how the states are helping India realize this enormous ambition. Sports are governed by the state. In order to build and upgrade sports facilities and infrastructure, we are attempting to collaborate with state governments. Our goal is to host the Olympics in 2036. In order to benefit both the federal government and state governments, we are working to establish Olympic infrastructure standards in every state.
Khadse spoke about the ASMITA (Achieving Sports Milestone by Inspiring Women through Action) program, which was created to provide women a chance to succeed in sports.
With information on forthcoming leagues and events, the Asmita Portal is a complete reference for women’s sports. It makes it possible for educational institutions, government agencies, and private groups to host the “Asmita Women’s League” to participate in Khelo India’s elite sports.
Speaking at a news conference in New Delhi on Friday, Khadse discussed the different youth-oriented programs that the Indian government has implemented. She also examined several aspects of the sports industry.
A ministry release claims that since 2014, India has made unparalleled strides in youth empowerment, with a particular emphasis on important areas like creating jobs, assisting MSMEs, promoting startups, formalizing the economy, encouraging R&D, developing skills, and encouraging athletic excellence and fitness. These programs are in line with the goals of “Aatmnirbhar Bharat” and “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.”
