“One of the greatest to ever do it,” Ranveer commented on Instagram Story. I’m grateful for the memories.

Nakuul Mehta, an actor, also acknowledged Ashwin.
“The Carrom Ball Maestro Era is coming to an end. All day, I’ve felt heavy.

The way we played at that time has served as a precedent for some of the best times in my life. Laxman and Dravid at Eden, Dhoni’s six at Wankhede, Kohli pursuing, Sachin’s desert storm, defeating the Australians in their lair, and Ash wrecking havoc at Chepauk while sparing us the blushes for the nth time thanks to his bat.

“Ashwin’s contribution to Indian cricket will be fully appreciated in the years to come,” Nakuul said. The game’s ultimate master and servant. We are grateful for the way you played and supported the game, which really enhanced our lives. I’m forward to see you and DK dissect the game.

Arjun Kapoor also praised R Ashwin’s excellent cricket career on his Instagram account.

“To the man who gave us unfathomable pride, matches to remember, and moments to celebrate.” I appreciate you being a real game-changer, Ashwin. “#ThankYouAshwin”

Ashwin’s remarkable career in red-ball cricket began in 2011 when he made his Test debut against the West Indies. He played in 106 Test matches, scoring 3,503 runs and claiming an incredible 537 wickets, including 37 five-wicket hauls.

In 23 Test matches against Australia, Ashwin took 115 wickets at a remarkable 2.71 economy rate. With 29 scalps in the 2020–21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy series, the 38-year-old also holds the record for most wickets taken in a single series.

Ashwin established a number of records in the game’s longest format that could be hard to beat. With 537 dismissals at an economy rate of 2.83, he is the second-highest wicket-taker in Test cricket and the quickest bowler in Indian history to reach 350 Test wickets.
