This followed Amit Shah’s tirade against the Congress party, claiming that adopting Ambedkar’s name had become “fashionable.”

“If they had taken the name of God so many times instead of Ambedkar then they would have got heaven for seven lives,” Shah said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi defended Amit Shah’s comments against Babasaheb Ambedkar earlier in the day, claiming that Shah revealed the Congress’s shady past of disparaging Ambedkar and that the facts he gave left them surprised and wounded.

PM Modi said in a series of tweets on X that despite Congress’ years in power, nothing was done to strengthen the communities of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

“Amit Shah Ji revealed in Parliament the Congress’ egregious record of disparaging Dr. Ambedkar and disregarding the SC/ST Communities. They are now engaging in theatrics because they are obviously shocked and offended by the information he provided!

Unfortunately for them, the truth is known! Despite their best efforts, Congress cannot deny that their governments were responsible for the biggest murders against SC/ST communities. They held onto power for years without taking any significant action to strengthen the SC and ST populations, PM Modi said.

“Congress’ sins” against Babasaheb Ambedkar were enumerated by the prime minister.

“The Congress has committed many transgressions against Dr. Ambedkar, including causing him to lose elections twice. He was the target of a campaign by Pandit Nehru, who made his defeat a matter of prestige. denying a Bharat Ratna to him. “I refuse to have my portrait displayed in Parliament’s Central Hall,” he stated.
