Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu urges BJP to cooperate to make the session smooth and productive
Dharamshala: Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu asked the BJP to work with him to ensure a smooth and productive winter session of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, implying that the session can be extended beyond the four days that are planned. The winter session of the assembly starts on Wednesday.
“When we were in opposition, we used to discuss issues,” CM Sukhu told reporters. Despite having five groups in the state, the BJP is attempting to demonstrate the power of each of them by showcasing their individual capabilities. Though people who joined the BJP are experiencing their own effects, the BJP is no longer the original BJP. The House can function well and extend the session beyond four days if the BJP cooperates.
Today marks the start of the winter term, which will last until December 21.
Mukesh Agnihotri, the deputy chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, said that the BJP is unwilling to confront the Vidhan Sabha because of internal strife.
“The opposition now in power cannot take on the Vidhan Sabha. They didn’t provide helpful critique or bring up any issues that would have benefited the state throughout these two years. They continue to deceive the state’s citizens by bringing up unrelated topics. Everyone in the BJP wants to demonstrate their strength in the ongoing internal conflict. The administration of Congress is ready and will respond to any inquiries,” he said.
Vikramaditya Singh, the state minister, said that attempts had been taken to guarantee a successful winter session of the Assembly.
“We’ll talk about the development efforts being undertaken by the chief minister and the administration as a whole. We will undoubtedly play with the advantage rather than the disadvantage. I want to let the BJP know that we are enough for them and that we will fight together if they believe that their pessimistic views would put us on the defensive,” Singh said.
