He admitted the difficulty Manipur is facing in an interview with ANI, but he denied that it started recently, stating that the problem has been for more than 25 to 40 years. He said that despite the violence in Manipur, the federal and state governments are dedicated to finding a solution.

“The issue has been handled by the federal government. There hasn’t been a scenario like Manipur in the last year, five years, or 10 years. The scenario in Manipur has persisted for the last 25 to 40 years. Therefore, it is not a product of this administration. We are attempting to reach a mutually agreeable resolution by speaking with all parties. “The state and federal governments are dedicated to finding a solution,” he said.

According to the Union Minister for Communications, the area has seen a nearly 80% decrease in the number of conflict occurrences over the last ten years when compared to the previous era.

“To claim that the area is enmeshed in war is unjust and inaccurate. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the Northeast has never seen such tranquility in its history. From the previous era, the number of events has decreased by around 80% in the past ten years. In this area, the proportion of militants who have surrendered and integrated into India’s mainstream has increased by around 70–75%,” he stated.

“Under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, a record number of agreements and accords have been inked. And above all, the amount of growth and advancement that has taken place in this area has been just remarkable,” Scindia said.

The Union Minister also emphasized the Northeast’s notable infrastructure advancements, such as the building of more than 16,000 kilometers of national highways and the enlargement of rivers, railroads, and airports.

“The Chief Ministers of Tripura and Meghalaya joined me on stage during a road show I recently conducted in Mumbai for the North East Investor Summit. Their powerful speeches about the progress made in their states under their leadership were nothing short of exceptional. We have constructed about 5,000 kilometers of national roadways in the last ten years. He said that an area with 16,000 kilometers of national roadways now had just 10,000 kilometers.

“What was constructed in 60 years? Of the total, 60% has been constructed in the last ten years. Over the last ten years, 45,000 kilometers of Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sarak Yojana have been constructed at a cost of 50,000 crores. In terms of roadways, it is all. When it comes to railroads, the rate of track construction was around 6.5 kilometers per month. It currently travels more than 19 kilometers every month. 2,000 kilometers of railroad lines have been constructed in the last ten years,” Scindia said.

According to the Union Minister, the Northeast states had nine airports in his previous civil aviation portfolio, but now there are 17.

“Rails already link three or four states in the northeast, and we want to connect the other states over the next two to three years. There are now 19 railway projects underway, totaling over 88,000 crores. In a similar vein, there were nine airports in my previous civil aviation portfolio. We now have seventeen airports. In 2014, we had thousands of weekly air traffic movements to the northeast. The northeast’s traffic flows now are 1990, meaning they have almost doubled. In the northeast, we only had one canal for transportation. There are now 20 canals in the northeast for transportation,” he said.

A significant milestone for the area will be reached when Scindia announces the opening of the country’s second semiconductor facility in Assam.

“Development and growth have advanced rapidly, which is why Assam is home to the first semiconductor factory in the northeast. With the Tata Group and an investment of almost 27,000 crores, it is the first in the northeast and the second in India. Three roadshows have been staged in the last six months in preparation for the major investor conference, which is scheduled for March or April of next year. We’ve done road shows in Chennai, Bengaluru, and Mumbai yesterday. People are keen to invest in the Northeast, and we’ve almost secured 45,000 crores in MOUs and letters of intent via the three roadshows,” he added.

Therefore, India’s development engine is now the North East. India is expanding between 6.5 and 7.5 percent annually, which is a fairly rapid pace. However, the Northeast states are expanding at a rate of 9.5% to 11% annually. Thus, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi declares that the Northeast would be India’s economic engine, the Indian terrain has already undergone change, the Union Minister said.

Scindia responded, “Today, the Prime Minister has taken the last villages across India, which were always known as the last villages of India. The last development will take place there, whether it’s in the northeast, whether it’s Himachal, whether it’s Uttarakhand, whether it’s Jammu, Kashmir, or Ladakh, across our borders,” in response to a question concerning global developments, specifically along the northeast border with China, where massive infrastructure projects are underway. Additionally, he has called them the first Indian settlements and the bright villages. Additionally, for the first time in India’s history, a prime minister has promised that all members of the central government would go to the country’s thriving villages.”

For instance, simply in the Northeast, 700 ministerial visits have occurred. As a result, we are very sure that growth will begin in those initial thriving towns before moving on to the center. We are examining the thriving communities found in the states of the Northeast. The union minister said, “We are committed to looking at 100% saturation of any one single issue that we will take up.”

Speaking about the ‘One Nation One Election’ law, Scindia said that the people, not the administration, are pushing for it.

“The country’s citizens are pushing for this, not the administration. Every month, there is an election someplace, and there is an election code of behavior. Stopping the electoral code of behavior and wasteful expenditure is what the public wants and hopes will happen. Put a definitive end to the elections and dedicate yourself to their service for five years. The prime minister works to fulfill the nation’s citizens’ dreams and ambitions. “Whether it’s the issue of repealing Article 370, the One Nation One Ration Card, the Women’s Reservation in Parliament, or the One Nation One Election,” he said.

“The Prime Minister is creating a foundation that will help future generations remember his time in office and his contributions. The concepts being proposed to move the nation quickly from a turning point would serve as a model for the whole globe,” he said.
