The Kapoor family made an appearance at the opening of a film festival in Mumbai on Friday that honored some of the greatest works of the renowned director Raj Kapoor.

To commemorate the centennial of the renowned filmmaker’s birth, the ‘Kapoor Khandaan’ came in style, bringing with it Raj Kapoor’s son Randhir Kapoor, daughter Rima Jain, daughters-in-law Babita and Neetu Kapoor, grandson Ranbir Kapoor, and granddaughters Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.

Their attendance demonstrated the family’s shared delight in honoring and conserving Raj Kapoor’s remarkable legacy.

Neetu posted a photo of herself with Alia Bhatt, Ranbir, and Riddhima on Instagram after the event.

She wrote, “Miss you Kapoor saab,” as the caption.

In addition to the Kapoor family, numerous film industry people attended the ceremony to honor Raj Kapoor. Among those present were Prem Chopra, Jeetendra, Vicky Kaushal, Riteish Deshmukh, Huma Qureshi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Sharman Joshi.

Raj Kapoor 100: Celebrating the Centenary of the Greatest Showman is being presented by R.K. Films, the Film Heritage Foundation, and the National Film Archive of India as part of the lavish commemoration. Ten classic Raj Kapoor films will be shown in 40 locations and 135 theaters as part of this festival.

Raj Kapoor’s most renowned films from almost forty years ago, including Aag (1948), Barsaat (1949), Awaara (1951), Shree 420 (1955), Jagte Raho (1956), Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai (1960), Sangam (1964), Mera Naam Joker (1970), Bobby (1973), and Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985), are the focus of the festival. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was asked to attend the celebration by the Kapoor clan members, who met with him in Delhi a few days ago.

Kareena, Saif, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Neetu Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, and other family members gathered in Delhi to talk about the festivities that were coming up. The Kapoor family were ecstatic to see the Prime Minister, as shown by the adorable photos Kareena posted on social media following the encounter.

Saif and Ranbir were also seen conversing with PM Modi in the photos.

The post’s high point, however, was when Kareena asked the PM for a signature for her boys, Taimur and Jeh. Fans on social media were thrilled when the prime minister kindly scrawled “Tim and Jeh” on a piece of paper.

Kareena thanked everyone for the intimate gathering in an emotional message. “The Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s invitation to celebrate the remarkable life and legacy of our grandpa, the renowned Raj Kapoor, is a source of great humility and honor for us. I am grateful for this wonderful afternoon, Shri Modi ji. We were very grateful for your kindness, consideration, and assistance in commemorating this milestone,” she wrote.

The celebration began on December 13 and will continue until December 15.
