Varsha Gaikwad, a Congress MP, demanded that those responsible for the violence and assault on the monument be held immediately accountable. “Action should be taken against those who vandalized the statue of Baba Saheb Ambedkar in Parbhani,” Gaikwad said.

She also criticized the state administration for its response to the crisis, pointing out that the city had been placed under curfew without any calm being restored.

“The present state of affairs in Parbhani should be attributed to the Mahayuti regime. “They are demonstrating their anti-constitution stance,” Gaikwad said, charging the current administration of not upholding the principles of the Constitution.

“They have failed to restore peace in Parbhani city,” she said, criticizing the government’s attitude to law enforcement. They must refrain from filing fictitious lawsuits.

Congress MP Praniti Shinde echoed Gaikwad’s remarks by denouncing the violence and highlighting the BJP government’s hypocrisy. “We denounce the events that took place in Parbhani City. The two sides of the BJP have come to light; while they are commemorating 75 years of independence, they are also disparaging the Indian Constitution,” Shinde said.

About 50 persons have been taken into custody and eight charges have been filed in relation to the violence that occurred in Maharashtra’s Parbhani city late on December 11, according to Special Inspector General, Nanded Shahaji Umap on Thursday.

A deputy superintendent of police and nine other police officers were minorly injured after the assault, the source said, adding that all of the arrests were made at the scene of the event.

“So far, eight cases have been registered at various police stations,” the Special Inspector General told the reporters. To far, we have made 50 arrests in this area. We apprehended these individuals while attempting to regulate the scene after yesterday afternoon’s stone-throwing. The claim that we made a few arrests during yesterday night’s combing operation is untrue.

To date, every arrest has been made at the scene of the occurrence.
