Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reply to the debate on the 75th anniversary of the Constitution of India in the Lok Sabha today
New Delhi: On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is anticipated to respond to the Lok Sabha’s discussion on the 75th anniversary of the Indian Constitution. To mark the start of the 75th year since the Constitution’s adoption, the Lok Sabha began a two-day discussion on it on December 13.
Defense Minister Singh and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra delivered vehement statements during Friday’s Constitution discussion in the House.
The defense minister started a discussion on the Constitution in the Lok Sabha, concentrating on its historical relevance and how it has shaped the country’s governance and international reputation.
Rajnath Singh discussed current attempts to politicize the Constitution’s legacy, emphasized how it represented India’s civilizational ideals, and reminisced on the lengthy discussions that led to its creation.
In a scathing attack on the Congress, the defense minister denounced the party’s attempts to claim exclusive credit for the drafting of the Indian Constitution. He emphasized that such efforts ignore the profound roots of the Constitution in Indian cultural and civilizational principles as well as the combined contributions of several people.
“A certain party has always tried to take over the process of creating a constitution…I want to emphasize today that no one party has created our Constitution. In keeping with Indian principles, the Indian Constitution was drafted by the Indian people.Under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our government operates in accordance with the Dharma outlined in the Indian Constitution and with the spirit of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas. Our Constitution is transformational, progressive, and inclusive. In our nation, someone who comes from a low-income background may become both the prime minister and the president,” Rajnath Singh told reporters.
In her first speech in the Lok Sabha, Congresswoman and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi criticized the governing administration, claiming that the Union government had done all in its power to undermine the “kavach” (shield) during the last ten years.
“The flame of our Constitution is blazing in the fight of crores of Indians, in their fortitude in the face of the most difficult circumstances, and in their desire for justice from the nation. The term “suraksha kavach” (safety armor) refers to our Constitution. The residents are kept secure by such a “suraksha kavach”; it is a “kavach” of justice, solidarity, and freedom of expression.
It is regrettable that in a decade, ruling-party colleagues who make lofty statements have done all in their power to dismantle this “kavach.” Social, economic, and political justice are guaranteed by the Constitution. Work has started to violate these pledges, which serve as a safety armor. “This government is attempting to undermine reservation through lateral entry and privatization,” Priyanka Gandhi said.
On November 25, the winter Parliament’s first session began, but because of interruptions, both Houses were adjourned somewhat early. The winter session is scheduled to conclude on December 20.
