“This is to notify all BJP members in the Lok Sabha that on Friday, December 13, and Saturday, December 14, 2024, the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution would be discussed in the Lok Sabha. Therefore, it is desired that the BJP members in the Lok Sabha be affirmatively present in the House on Friday, December 13, and Saturday, December 1, 2024, and support the government’s position,” the BJP’s official statement said.

On Saturday, December 14, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address the Lok Sabha on the 75th anniversary of the Indian Constitution, according to sources.

The sources state that on December 16, Home Minister Amit Shah would open the discussion in the Rajya Sabha.

Rahul Gandhi, the Lok Sabha’s leader of the opposition, had earlier on Wednesday said that the opposition wants the House to convene and have a constitutional discussion on December 13 as scheduled.

“I met with the Speaker.” I advised him to erase whatever negative remarks he had made about me. The Speaker promised to investigate the matter. Our goal is for the House to function and for debates to take place there. Rahul Gandhi told reporters, “We want a debate on December 13th, regardless of what they say about me.”

He said that a debate of the accusations made against entrepreneur Gautam Adani was not what the BJP wanted.

“They do not want to talk about Adani. Ultimately, we won’t abandon this. They will continue to accuse us, but the House needs to operate,” he said.

On November 25, the winter Parliament’s first session began, but because to interruptions, both Houses were adjourned somewhat early. The winter session is scheduled to conclude on December 20.
