“You directed Excellency to matters concerning the stability and peace of the Middle East and West Asia area. In addition to being a location of great strategic importance to India, the Gaza crisis has recently raised serious concerns about it. India has a viewpoint based on principles. We denounce terrorist attacks and civilian casualties in the fight.

We think that international humanitarian law should be followed. We have emphasized how crucial it is to provide the Palestinian people with humanitarian supplies in a timely and secure manner. We also demand the release of all captives and an early ceasefire. India has always advocated for a two-state solution to the Palestine problem. Additionally, we have helped to strengthen Palestinian institutions and capabilities. And we’re grateful that the Gulf nations are moving in the same direction,” he said.

“Our ongoing gatherings and high-level exchanges between our two nations attest to the solid friendships we share—not just friendships, but ones that have been cultivated over a long period of time and profoundly ingrained in our communities. Today’s challenge, in my opinion, is to strengthen those ties based on a shared dedication to security, peace, and the advancement of our peoples’ and the region’s prosperity. FinTech, S&T, education, and space are just a few of the emerging fields that we believe have a lot of promise. Additionally, I would want to use this occasion to publicly state that strengthening our partnership with Bahrain is a top priority,” he stated.

Jaishankar went on to say that commerce between Bahrain and India has advanced.
“In terms of investment and commerce, we have advanced significantly in recent years. Without a doubt, we want to build on that encouraging momentum. Additionally, I would like to state that Bahraini investors are welcome to visit India and look at its prospects,” he added.

Jaishankar also emphasized Bahrain and India’s marine cooperation sectors.

“We also work closely together on security and defense issues. It would undoubtedly help to improve regional maritime security for India to join the Manama-based CMF (Combined Maritime Forces). We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the security and safety of global marine operations. We really value your support for India at regional and multilateral fora, and we consider Bahrain to be a particularly valued partner in the Gulf. In that sense, we’re excited to collaborate with you,” he stated.

The Indian diaspora in Bahrain, according to Jaishankar, serves as a crucial link between the two nations.

“I would also want to use this occasion to express my gratitude for the way the Indian community in Bahrain is treated. It serves as a vital link between our nations. And we think they are making a big contribution to Bahrain’s growth. And we really hope that the community would contribute more, and we express our gratitude to the Kingdom’s leadership and government for guaranteeing their security, safety, and well-being,” he stated.

Additionally, Jaishankar congratulated the monarch of Bahrain on reaching the 25th anniversary of his accession to the throne.

“I would like to offer the best wishes of the Indian people on the 25th anniversary of His Majesty’s accession to the throne. The relationship between India and Bahrain has really improved under His Majesty’s direction,” he said.
