According to an official statement released on Saturday, Gujarat has become the first state to broadcast live court sessions on YouTube.
An official statement states that the state judiciary has also embraced digital portals, virtual courts, and paperless e-filing methods.
According to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, “a number of initiatives introduced today in Lokaparna and Khatamuhurta will speed up the justice system.”
According to the Chief Minister, the Gujarat High Court has set an example in this area and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made digital infrastructure a top priority for open, effective, and excellent administration.
In the Gujarat High Court on Saturday, Patel and Supreme Court Justice Suryakant unveiled a number of initiatives aimed at bolstering the state judiciary’s infrastructure.
Law Minister Rishikesh Patel and Chief Justice Sunita Aggarwal of the Gujarat High Court were also in attendance.
According to Chief Minister Patel, the Gujarat High Court today inaugurated and sealed a number of projects totaling 133 crore rupees.
Chief Minister Patel said that after Gujarat gained its independence in 1960, the Gujarat High Court was established at Akashvani Bhawan in Navrangpura.
The Chief Minister said that the Gujarat High Court’s state-of-the-art facility is now operational in Sola, indicating that the state has made steady development with the newest amenities since then.
“The State Government has always endeavoured to provide state-of-the-art facilities to the judges and court staff including the construction of new buildings or houses associated with the Courts,” he said.
The Chief Minister said that by bringing the courts of the Principal Civil Judge operational in each taluka station of the state, we have worked toward fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of infrastructure development.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of democracy and good governance, noting that the judiciary and law and order play a significant role in both good governance and the growth of any nation or state. The foundations of democracy and sound government are the legislative, executive, and judicial branches.
“Democracy and good governance are maintained when these three are properly coordinated.
For individuals to directly experience excellent government, speedy justice is necessary. The Chief Minister said, “The state government is dedicated to providing resources in accordance with the requirements of the judiciary and high court for this.”
The Chief Minister went on to say that the state government has allocated funds for this in the law department’s budget. This allocation, which was Rs 1698 crore in 2021–2022 and Rs 2586 crore in 2024–2025, was raised.
This demonstrates the state government’s dedication to building infrastructure, digitizing the court, boosting its efficiency, and supporting a robust workforce.

Judge Justice Suryakant of the Supreme Court said on this occasion that a robust judiciary is one of the cornerstones of nation-building and that the judicial system is crucial to the growth of any country.
“The two most crucial requirements for the court in the contemporary day are a robust judicial infrastructure and appropriate use of technology. According to CM Patel, the Gujarat High Court is leading the way in implementing both of these cases.
“The initiatives that were started and finished today demonstrate how quickly Gujarat’s judiciary is becoming digitalized via the utilization of infrastructure and technology. It is encouraging that the state administration is likewise totally dedicated to meeting all of the High Court’s mandates,” he said.
On the occasion, High Court Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal said that the presence of infrastructure facilitates a quicker and simpler legal procedure.
“Today marks the laying of the foundation stones for several new structures and projects thanks to the state government’s proactive attitude. Similarly, the State Government has also given prompt and significant assistance in providing medical facilities for the Judiciary’s staff,” she added.
In an announcement regarding upcoming projects, Gujarat High Court Justice Biren Vaishnav stated that the state government and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel would supply all judicial and other infrastructure required to fortify the state’s judicial system.
Gujarat High Court Judge Sarvashree Justice AY Kogje, Justice AS Supehia, Advocate General Kamal Trivedi, President of the Gujarat High Court Advocate Association Brijesh Trivedi, former Chief Justices of various states, Gujarat High Court judges, officers, employees, and members of the Bar Council were all in attendance on the occasion of the launch of several projects of the Gujarat High Court.
