CM Yogi reviewed the preparations for Maha Kumbh 2025

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, met with authorities at Circuit House Prayagraj ahead of the Mahakumbh to discuss the Mahakumbh 2025 preparations.

On January 13, 2025, Paush Purnima Snan will mark the start of the Mahakumbh. The last bath will take place on February 26, 2025, the day of Mahashivratri, marking the end of the Kumbh festival.

The officials are building a unique kind of floating jetty at Sangam with the goal of giving devotees greater amenities during Mahakumbh 2025. This jetty would enable devotees to take pleasant baths and have a place to change.

In the meanwhile, several specialized medical professionals are being sent to make sure that everyone, including saints and devotees, is well. A 100-bed hospital in Mahakumbh Nagar’s Parade Ground is almost finished as part of this project.

The additional facilities In Prayagraj, pleasant lodgings for the devotees attending Mahakumbh 2025 would be provided via the construction of natural huts and tents with contemporary amenities.

These tents will have five-star hotel-quality amenities and be built to international standards. The tent city will provide lodging in four different categories: Dormitory, Swiss Cottage, Villa, and Maharaja. Daily rates would range from Rs 1,500 to Rs 35,000.

Extra visitors (not including dorms) would incur additional fees of Rs 4,000 to Rs 8,000. The goal of this large-scale project is to serve the anticipated 45 crore tourists from 75 nations.

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced the establishment of an online booking system for electric rickshaws (e-rickshaws) and e-autos, marking a major step towards providing easy, safe, and environmentally friendly transit for the millions of devotees anticipated during the 2025 Mahakumbh Mela.

Aiming to lessen the event’s carbon impact, the project is a component of the state’s larger plan to establish a “Green Mahakumbh.”

Devotees will be able to conveniently reserve e-rickshaws and e-autos starting on December 15 of this year using a dedicated app, much like well-known ride-hailing services like Uber and Ola.
With this new project, the Mahakumbh Mela 2025 is expected to be a historic event that serves as an example for sustainable tourism in addition to its religious importance.
