Rahul Gandhi made this demand on Adani issue
Rahul Gandhi, the Lok Sabha’s leader of the opposition, poked fun at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, urging him to go to the Winter Session of Parliament and not to be “afraid” of the Adani probe.
Rahul Gandhi posted, “Modi ji sansad me aao, Adani par jaanch se mat ghabrao” on Facebook, saying, “Come to Parliament, don’t be afraid of investigation.”
Since the start of the Winter Session, Congress and its supporters in the INDIA bloc have been adamant on talking about the United States’ indictment of Adani.
Earlier in the day, opposition MPs protested the Adani issue by wearing masks that said, “Modi Adani, Bhai Bhai.”
A copy of the Constitution was also seen in the hands of Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi.
Congressman KC Venugopal said that Adani’s “constitutional right” had been infringed.
It marks the anniversary of the passing of B. R. Ambedkar, who drafted the Indian Constitution. Here, Adani’s constitutional rights have been infringed. We’re protesting symbolically. The Indian government tries to deflect the conversation whenever the word Adani is mentioned. Wearing a mask that said, “Modi Adani, Bhai Bhai,” Venugopal declared, “Let them divert the issue, we will continue our protests.”
The claims made against Adani Green’s directors by the US Securities and Exchange Commission and the US Department of Justice have been refuted by the Adani Group. The BJP, however, criticized Congressman Rahul Gandhi for his criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that the legislation would work itself out.
“The US Department of Justice and the US Securities and Exchange Commission against directors of Adani Green are baseless and denied,” the statement said.
“The charges in the indictment are allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty,” according to the US Department of Justice itself. We will pursue all available legal options,” it said.
“Highest standards of governance, transparency and regulatory compliance across all jurisdictions of its operations” are what the Adani Group has always supported and is resolutely dedicated to upholding.
On November 25, the winter Parliament’s first session began, but because to interruptions, both Houses were adjourned somewhat early. The winter session is scheduled to conclude on December 20.
