Bihar police arrested the accused who threatened to kill Pappu Yadav
Purnea: The accused, who reportedly threatened to kill independent MP Pappu Yadav, was taken into custody by Bihar Police on Tuesday. According to authorities, the detained suspect was a native of the Bhojpur region of Bihar.
Kartikey Sharma, SP Purnea, stated, “We began searching for the individual who threatened to kill him. After looking into it, we discovered that the individual lives in the Bhojpur region. No connection to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was discovered during questioning.
The accused has also been an MP fan, and Pappu Yadav visited his hometown four or five years ago. The accused even said that Pappu Yadav’s fans wanted him to have more protection; therefore, he was directed to threaten to kill him in order to get more security. In addition to hearing what he had to say, the accused was also offered payment for it. We are looking at every aspect of the case.”
Pappu Yadav questioned the police, asking why the person responsible for the threat calls had not been identified.
I gave the police the phone numbers they used to threaten me and get in touch with me; therefore, I want to question them. I got 26 calls from Nepal, Malaysia, and Pakistan. I’ve sent in about 200 texts and 150 audio samples. What about the other twenty-four calls? I would want to question the police.
What about Malaysian and Pakistani calls?… I want the call logs from the accused’s cell phone to be made public when the police say they have two additional videos. How come the two videos aren’t being released to the public? How come the mastermind isn’t being identified?”Yadav said.
Earlier, in response to purported death threats, Pappu Yadav demanded a probe into the threats’ motivations and criticized the federal government for not providing him with sufficient protection.
The threats, according to Pappu Yadav, were related to his attempts to reveal wrongdoing in a hospital scheme, which he intends to bring up in Parliament.
