Sanjay Tandon targeted the Congress party and said this
Sanjay Tandon, the co-incharge of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Himachal Pradesh, attacked the Congress party on Thursday, claiming that the party’s weak leadership is to blame for its electoral defeats rather than electronic voting machines.
In response to queries on EVMs posed by Congress president Mallikharjun Kharge, he addressed the party’s state-level organization festival meeting.
“The weak leadership of Congress was the reason for its resounding loss in the Maharashtra assembly elections, not the EVMs. Rahul should be changed by Kharge, not EVMs. Tandon said during his speech that he need to think about replacing him with someone else.
“The Congress leadership, not the machine, is to blame. Rahul Gandhi, not EVM, should be changed by the Congress. “No opponent gives such unsolicited advice, but politics should be civil enough that we can give them unsolicited advice after sitting together in the parliament and assembly for so long,” he said.
In addition, he attacked Rahul Gandhi, claiming that the party’s electoral defeat was caused by “RBM-Rahul’s Bad Management.”
“Congress president Kharge is talking about keeping EVMs aside, while the public has kept Congress aside,” Tandon said.
He went on to say that the Congress has been marginalized in Maharashtra, emphasizing the party’s dismal showing of just 16 seats won in the state.
“The Congress has only won 16 of the 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra, while the BJP-backed Mahayuti government has recorded a resounding triumph. This demonstrates unequivocally the Congress’s waning base of support,” he added.
He also mentioned the elections in Jharkhand, saying that the Congress is still far behind the BJP even if the JMM-led Mahagathbandan won the assembly elections, of which the Congress is a member.
The Congress won 16 seats while the BJP won 21 seats in the Jharkhand legislative elections. “In fact, this crushing defeat of Congress has disappointed the party, due to which Rahul Gandhi and other leaders of Congress and opposition are making absurd statements in anger,” added Gandhi.
