“The whole question of who will be the next Maharashtra chief minister is turning out to be a big question,” Crasto told the journalists. The BJP consistently claimed that Eknath Shinde was representing Mahayuti in their election campaign. The party is discussing the absence of the Bihar model and other concerns now that the time has arrived for him to be reinstated as chief minister after he has performed. This indicates unequivocally that Eknath Shinde is being used. He said that Shinde was the victim of injustice.

“Shine is being treated unfairly here… Are they implying that he is unfit to serve as the CM or that they accomplished what they wanted to do, took advantage of him, and now want their guy to serve as the CM? In any case, they must uphold the people’s mandate, which they have. The Chief Minister who would steer Maharashtra’s prosperity must be announced,” he said.

Earlier, on November 26, Shiv Sena leader Shambhuraj Desai said that if the impasse over the future chief minister of Maharashtra persists, the three leaders—Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar—will come together and have talks.

The incumbent BJP-led Mahayuti coalition has not yet chosen a chief minister, despite the announcement of Maharashtra’s election results on November 23.

“Who would be the CM face of Mahayuti and who would lead our Mahayuti? Ajit Pawar, Devendra Fadnavis, and Eknath Shinde, our three leaders, would come together and talk about this. All of the Mahayuti MLAs would agree with whatever they decide, and that decision will be carried out,” Shiv Sena leader Shambhuraj Desai told a media report.

Every party believes that the position of chief minister should go to a member of their own party. As a Shiv Sainik, I believe that Eknath Shinde, our chief leader, ought to be appointed CM. The BJP leaders who support Devendra Fadnavis for the position are no different. However, the three leaders will gather and talk. Discussions would lead to a solution,” he said.

Eknath Shinde may serve as the Deputy Chief Minister or join the Modi administration, according to Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, who said on Tuesday that Devendra Fadnavis should head the Mahayuti government since “people of Maharashtra want him” to be the next Chief Minister.
