With the consent of Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress appointed Priyavrat Singh as the head of the “war room” for the elections

The Congress has designated Priyavrat Singh as the “war room” chairman for the polls in anticipation of the Delhi assembly elections, which are scheduled for early next year.

Mallikarjun Kharge, the president of the Congress, gave his approval for the nomination.

The Congress, which ruled Delhi for 15 years in a row, has not done well in the last two elections. There is currently no MLA for the party in the assembly.

The AAP and BJP have already begun preparing for the assembly elections in Delhi.

In response to its dismal showing in the just finished elections in Maharashtra and Haryana, the Congress party has announced that its Working Committee meeting would take place on November 29.
