Nagpur police arrested a man who was posing as an Indian Army officer
In Wadi city of Nagpur, Nagpur Police arrested a guy impersonating as an Indian Army officer based on information from the Army’s Southern Command Military Intelligence Unit.
The offender, named by the authorities as Gopal Kansare alias Gulab, a resident of Sri Purnal Layout, Dabha, was taken into custody on Tuesday night. He was arrested for using many social media sites to pose as a Major in the Indian Army.
According to the allegations, Kansare, who had been impersonating a Major in the Indian Army, often attended social and cultural events in Nagpur by donning Army uniforms and military insignia to establish his credibility. His actions were investigated after he was tipped off about his questionable behavior.
In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), namely Sections 318 (4), 319 (2), and 205, a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed at Wadi Police Station in order to initiate further legal actions.
