Normalizing the situation in the region is their first concern, according to Aunjaneya Kumar Singh’s statement on Tuesday.

“At this point, 27 persons have been detained, 22 have been identified, and 7 FIRs have been filed. 74 individuals have been identified, and the process of identifying the other individuals is ongoing. Normalizing the situation is our first goal. In order to prevent them from being affected by others, we must welcome individuals into our trust,” he said.

Singh also asked everyone to avoid making unfounded claims in all spheres of life.
“People are working together to normalize the situation as well as to conduct an inquiry… We are gathering proof, which will serve as the foundation for our next move. People from all walks of life are being urged to abstain from making unfounded claims. We hope that shortly, everything will return to normal,” he remarked.

A Samajwadi Party (SP) MP and the son of a local MLA are among the culprits in the Sambhal incident, Singh had earlier stated on Monday. He also gave his assurance that the violent scene is now tranquil and that a probe is in progress.

“There is tranquility in Sambhal right now. An inquiry is under progress. There have been filed FIRs. Zia Ur Rehman Barq, the MP for Sambhal, and the son of the local MLA have been charged with incitement. There have been four fatalities. They’re treating the wounded. The Moradabad Police Commissioner said, “Strict action will be taken, and NSA will also be imposed if necessary.”

At the same time, Sambhal SP Krishna Kumar Bishnoi told a joint news conference that up to 800 persons had been the subject of a complaint after the incident.

Additionally, SP Bishnoi said that two defendants, Zia Ur Rehman Barq and Sohail Iqbal, had been taken into custody for allegedly inciting the crowd to commit violence.

“Our sub-inspector Deepak Rathi, who was hurt yesterday, has filed a complaint against 800 people,” SP Bishnoi told the reporters. Sohail Iqbal and Zia Ur Rehman Barq have been charged. They provoked the rabble, he said. Barq also received notice earlier. He had previously made controversial statements and had been warned not to do so.

It is important to remember that on November 19, a similar ASI survey was carried out, and the procedure was supervised by members of the mosque’s management committee and local police.
