Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Future Technology and Digital Economy, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has ordered the action.

This program is in line with Dubai’s strategic goal to empower young people for leadership positions in quickly changing technological industries, position the country as a worldwide leader in innovation and sustainability, and provide Emirati talent the skills they need to advance the digital economy.

“The UAE government is working to implement the leadership’s directives by investing in national talents and equipping them with the tools and skills necessary to enhance their role in shaping the future,” said Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications.

He emphasized that the government’s plans, strategies, and initiatives aim to empower people and national talents by giving them the knowledge and skills necessary to actively participate in the entire digital development journey, with an emphasis on innovation and the development of national talents.

Al Olama went on to say that giving young people and national talent digital skills is in line with the UAE’s strategy, which aims to guarantee a bright digital future in which each member of society has a part in fostering progress and creating a more inventive future.

“This initiative demonstrates our unwavering commitment to empowering Emirati talent to lead in the digital economy,” said Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of the EHRDC. These collaborations show how the Council is leading the charge to connect academics and business, giving our young people the know-how and resources they need to succeed in the technology industry. Dubai’s goal of encouraging innovation and attaining sustainable economic development is in line with this.

The Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications Office and the EHRDC signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen collaborations with technology businesses as part of the 5000 Digital Talent project. In order to ensure a workforce prepared for the future, the program intends to teach 5,000 students over five years and cultivate potential.

Additionally, through digital development, industry-specific training, mentorship, and hands-on learning opportunities, the Council signed Memorandums of Understanding with LinkedIn, SAS, and universities, including the University of Dubai, Zayed University, and Higher Colleges of Technology, to improve students’ skills and preparedness for professional roles in the technology sector.

The program offers mentoring, hands-on training, and connections to top industry partners to university students in their third and fourth years.

High-ranking politicians, business executives, and college students attended the inaugural event, which emphasized the strategic significance of these collaborations in forming the digital future of the United Arab Emirates.
