Andhra Pradesh government to ease process of issuing permission for construction of buildings and layouts
Amaravati: According to an official statement, the state government of Andhra Pradesh has made the decision to streamline the procedure for granting permits for the construction of structures and plans inside the state.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu presided over a review meeting at the State Secretariat on Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD), where P Narayana, the MAUD Minister, informed the media on the choices made. He said that the Municipal Administration had received explicit directives from the Chief Minister to expedite the process of issuing building construction permits. Permissions for building construction will be issued via a single-window system as of December 31.
“To get approvals for building construction, there is no need to visit many agencies, such as Revenue, Stamps and Registration, and the Fire Wing. The Minister clarified that the process for giving such approval has now been simplified.
Narayana clarified that proposals for structures up to 15 meters in height do not need any form of authorization and that a thorough evaluation of Transfer of Development Rights (TDR) concerns would take place in another 15 days. According to him, the Chief Minister gave orders for the Amruth-2 plan to be finished in two years, and the P-4 method would be used to advance MEPMA (Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas) members.
The Minister recalled that the previous administration had scrapped the plans for the Assembly’s buildings, the High Court, and the five distinctive towers, which were all designed by Norman Foster. “The same Norman Fosters won it again when the tenders were recalled, and the CRDA meeting approved this,” he said.
Additionally, P. Narayana clarified that there are no obstacles in the way of obtaining a World Bank loan for the capital region’s projects. The MAUD Minister noted that the World Bank has agreed to disburse the financing in installments.
