“Today, the Modani controversy shook the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha. The latest charges of Adani’s bribery and suppression of information from Indian and American authorities have strengthened the argument for a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the Modani fraud, which was demanded by Indian parties, according to a post on X by Jairam Ramesh.

Leaders of the INDIA group met earlier today before to the start of the parliamentary session. The leaders insisted on having talks on the Adani indictment.

“Cartels and monopolies are not necessary for the governance of our nation. According to Mallikarjun Kharge’s article on X, “We need healthy market-driven competition in the private sector, which facilitates equal opportunities, employment, and equitable distribution of wealth, accommodating the inherent entrepreneurial spirit of India.”

Earlier today, the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, the two chambers of Parliament, were adjourned for the day. On Wednesday, November 27, both houses will convene.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked the opposition earlier this morning in his usual speech to the media, claiming that those who had been rejected 80–90 times were attempting to take control of Parliament by using hooliganism for their own political ends.

“Unfortunately, via the hooliganism of the people, certain individuals who have been rejected by the public are continuously attempting to dominate the parliament for their own political objectives. According to PM Modi, the public keeps track of all their actions and penalizes them when the time is right.

“In the democratic tradition, the job of every member is to prepare the next members, but those who have been rejected by the people 80-90 times, do not allow any discussion in the Parliament, do not respect the sentiments of democracy, do not understand the importance of people’s expectations,” the Prime Minister stated.
