Northern Railway has changed the names of these eight railway stations in Uttar Pradesh, know full details

Uttar Pradesh: On August 27, the Northern Railways issued an order renaming eight Uttar Pradeshi railway stations. The judgment, which was accepted by the Competent Authority, has an impact on stations in the Northern Railways’ Lucknow division.

Kasimpur Halt, Jais, Misrauli, Bani, Nihalgarh, Akbarganj, Wazirganj Halt, and Fursatganj are the stations that will now go by new names.

The following are the stations along with their new names

1. Jais City has replaced Kasimpur Halt as the new name

2. The name Jais is now Guru Gorakhnath Dham

3. Maa Kalikan Dham is the new name for Misrauli

4. Swami Paramhans is the new name for Bani

5. The name Nihalgarh is now Maharaja Bijli Pasi

6. Maa Ahorva Bhawani Dham is now known as Akbarganj

7. Amar Shaheed Bhale Sultan is now known as Wazirganj Halt

8. Tapeshwarnath Dham is the new name for Fursatganj

Furthermore, the decision said that “the numerical codes of the railway stations appearing in the “Alphabetical List of Railway Stations in India” issued by IRCA, New Delhi, will remain unchanged.”

As per the new directive, the Secretary-General of IRCA in New Delhi would make the required amendments regarding the name modifications and alphabetical codes of the railway stations.

Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav urged the BJP administration to address the issue of railway station renaming as well as improving station facilities in response to the changes in station names. Yadav criticized the government on social media, highlighting the need for improved security protocols.

Yadav attacked the government on X, asking them to put railway safety before renaming.

The BJP administration has been asked to alter the railroad stations’ conditions in addition to their names.Yadav wrote on X on Tuesday, “And when you get free time from changing names, then take some time out and think about preventing record-breaking railway accidents.”
