Tehseen Poonawalla said, MVA should now stop blaming EVMs for defeat
Congress and the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) must consider the causes for their loss in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, according to political analyst Tehseen Poonawalla’s statement on Saturday. The MVA should no longer hold the EVMs responsible for the loss, he said.
“Maha Vikas Aghadi and Congress must consider the factors that contributed to their loss in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Maha Vikas Aghadi received a surge of popularity, but Sanjay Raut, the head of the Shiv Sena (UBT), criticized the Congress and repeated similar remarks throughout the election. Tehseen Poonawalla told the reporters, “The Maharashtra public does not accept the politics of arrogance, as he reacted today after losing the elections.”
He continued by saying that Congress should leave the social media realm and hire a strategist.
“MVA need to cease pointing the finger at the EVMs. It is not accepted by the general people. Congress need to consider the reasons behind its leadership’s electoral defeats. Congress needs a strategy, and they need to leave the social media realm. In addition to making accusations, Congress need to provide the people answers, he said.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will now speak for the opposition in the parliament after winning the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election, Poonawalla said in her congratulations.
“Priyanka Gandhi Vadra deserves my congratulations for winning the Wayanad parliamentary seat. In the parliament, she will now speak out for the opposition,” he said.
Additionally, he commended the INDIA alliance for winning the Jharkhand Assembly election.
“I congratulate the INDIA alliance on their triumph. The BJP’s storyline that foreigners had stolen Jharkhand’s land was ineffective. Elections in Jharkhand were contested on topics. He advised them to take note of Jharkhand’s outcomes.
The NCP, headed by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, won 41 seats, the Shiv Sena, led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, got 57 seats, while the BJP took home 132 seats. There are 288 assembly seats in the state.
Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) voters were rudely shocked when Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT) won 20 seats, Congress 16, and Sharad Pawar’s NCP (SP) only won 10.
Conversely, the Jharkhand Mukti Morch secured 34 seats, while its allies secured 22 seats. Congress won 16 seats, RJD 4 and CPI-ML 2 among JMM’s supporters.
The BJP took home 21 seats, while its allies JD-U, AJSU, and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) each took home one.
This is the first time an incumbent government in Jharkhand has won an election after serving for five years.
