Congress’ Pawan Khera said the people of the state have ‘rejected’ the National Democratic Alliance

Following the announcement of the Jharkhand assembly election results, Congress leader Pawan Khera said he was happy and that the state’s people had “rejected” the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

In an interview with ANI, the Congress leader said that Jharkhand’s “divisive politics” were over.

“We have triumphed in Jharkhand, defeating polarizing politics… We’re overjoyed… Congressman Pawan Khera said, “They (NDA) have been rejected by the people of Jharkhand.”

Khera responded to a question about the outcome of the Maharashtra assembly election by saying, “The results in Maharashtra are astonishing… We are also pleased that the INDIA alliance side will have a strong voice in Parliament.

Notably, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) secured 34 seats in Jharkhand, while its allies secured 22 seats. The Congress secured 16 seats, RJD four, and CPI-ML two among JMM’s supporters.

AJSU, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), and JD-U each took home one seat, while the BJP secured 21 seats.

This is the first election victory in Jharkhand’s history by an incumbent government that has held office for five years.

In the meanwhile, Maharashtra’s state assembly elections were won by the governing Mahayuti coalition.

With its momentum, the BJP headed the Mahayuti coalition in Maharashtra, which was backed by the NCP and Shiv Sena. to an overwhelming triumph.

The NCP, headed by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, won 41 seats, the Shiv Sena, led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, got 57 seats, while the BJP took home 132 seats. There are 288 assembly seats in the state.

Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) voters were rudely shocked when Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT) won 20 seats, Congress 16, and Sharad Pawar’s NCP (SP) only won 10.

With an incredible strike rate, the BJP won 132 of the 148 seats it ran for in Maharashtra. The NCP and Shiv Sena, the party’s partners, also enjoy excellent strike rates.

Jharkhand conducted two-phase elections on November 13 and 20, whereas Maharashtra held single-phase assembly elections on November 20.
