PM Modi accused Congress of being a parasitic party

Following the BJP-led alliance’s historic victory in the Maharashtra assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unleashed a vicious assault on the Congress on Saturday, calling it a “parjeevi” party that “sinks boat of its allies.”

His ‘Ek hain toh safe hain’ slogan was again emphasized, stating that togetherness is the main takeaway from the Maharashtra elections.

Speaking to party members at the BJP headquarters, Prime Minister Modi said that the Congress cannot win elections by itself.

Congress is becoming a parasitic party that finds it more and more difficult to establish government on its own. In addition to sinking its own ship, Congress also wrecks its allies’ ships. The similar phenomenon has been seen in Maharashtra today as well,” he remarked.

The Congress ran for more over 100 seats in Maharashtra, but the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) only managed to win 16. Shiv Sena (UBT) won 20 seats while NCP (SP) got 10, indicating dismal performance from other MVA constituencies as well.

He said that the “seeds of appeasement sown by the Congress” are a grave betrayal of the people who drafted the Constitution and accused the Congress of eroding the spirit of secularism.

“The Congress family has undermined the Constitution’s spirit of secularism in its lust for power. In 1947, despite the atrocities of Partition, our Constitution’s drafters had opted for secularism while preserving Hindu customs and culture. However, in the name of bogus secularism, the Congress family destroyed that beautiful culture. “The Congress has betrayed the framers of the Constitution by sowing the seeds of appeasement,” he remarked.

“A party which does not have the people as its priority is very harmful for democracy,” the prime minister said, accusing the Congress party of priotizing “family.” “Urban Naxalism” is a new problem for India, he said.

“The Congress party ignores the wellbeing of the country’s citizens in favor of concentrating only on the family. Democracy is seriously threatened by a party that puts family above people. Notably, a new threat to India is the Congress’s support for urban naxalism. The fact that these urban Naxalites are under the influence of other powers is concerning, thus everyone must proceed with utmost care,” he said.

According to PM Modi, Jammu & Kashmir would not have Article 370 reinstated.

“In Jammu and Kashmir, Congress and its allies attempted to erect another Article 370 wall. They have been made fully aware by Maharashtra that this would not work. No authority in the world can reinstate Article 370 at this time,” he said, urging members of Congress and their supporters to pay close attention.

Voters assess promises and results in other states, he added, criticizing Congress for the state governments’ performance.
“Every state in the union has voters who also assess other states’ administrations. They observe the performance of those who make lofty promises in one state in other ones. The people of Maharashtra have seen the betrayal of the people by the Congress regimes in Karnataka, Telangana, and Himachal Pradesh; this is also evident in Punjab. As a result, the public has rejected Congress’ duplicity,” he said.

The Aam Aadmi Party is in power in Punjab.

According to him, the nation will only have one constitution, and its citizens would vehemently oppose anybody who suggests two.

“At this point, just one constitution—that of Baba Saheb Ambedkar, the Indian Constitution—will apply over the whole nation. The nation would utterly reject anybody who discusses two constitutions in the nation, whether publicly or privately, according to Prime Minister Modi.

Following the party-led Mahayuti’s overwhelming victory in the Maharashtra assembly elections, PM Modi participated in the celebrations at the BJP headquarters, declaring that the people of the state had triumphed against “negative and parivarvad politics.”

Maharashtra, he said, has bolstered the determination for an advanced India.

“In Maharashtra, social fairness, development, and sound governance have prevailed. The defeat of lies and dishonesty has been terrible.

Negative politics have lost the day. We have vanquished ‘Parivarvad’ today. Maharashtra has bolstered the determination for a thriving India today. Speaking to the party leaders and members, PM Modi congratulated all BJP and NDA employees across.

He praised state Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, as well as Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, for winning the Maharashtra elections.

“Unity is the election’s most important message, second only to Haryana. “Ek hain toh safe hain” has turned into the nation’s “maha-mantra,” he said.

The prime minister also claimed that the BJP has become stronger, citing the outcomes of by-elections in 48 assembly and two Lok Sabha seats across 15 states.

“Several states’ byelection results were also announced today. In addition, we have more seats in the Lok Sabha now than we had yesterday. Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh have all voted for the BJP in by-elections. Assamese citizens have once again shown their faith in the BJP. In Madhya Pradesh, we have also achieved success.

In Bihar, support for the NDA has grown. This demonstrates that the nation now prioritizes development,” he said.

Ramesh Chennithala, the Congress’ election in-charge for Maharashtra, on Saturday voiced his deep skepticism about the Maharashtra Assembly elections results, calling them “unbelievable” and claiming they did not reflect popular opinion.

The result, which saw the Mahayuti coalition win handily, was questioned by Chennithala.

“The Maharashtra Assembly election results are unacceptable and ridiculous since they don’t reflect the opinions of the general populace. A tight contest between Mahayuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi was also anticipated by the exit polls. At a news conference, he said, “How can we believe the Maharashtra Assembly election results?”
