Security has been tightened outside Shahi Jama Masjid ahead of Friday prayers following the survey conducted on November 19
Security outside Sambhal’s Shahi Jama Masjid, which has been on edge since a survey was conducted on November 19, has been strengthened ahead of Friday services.
On November 19, a survey was conducted in front of the local police and members of the mosque’s management committee in response to a petition submitted by prominent counsel Vishnu Shanker Jain in the court of the civil judge at Sambhal, arguing that the mosque was a temple.
Sambhal SP “There is peace in the area, and anyone attempting to disturb the harmony will face strong action,” Krishan Kumar said. There is considerable uneasiness as a result of a survey that was done at Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal. PAC, RAF, and other police officers from different stations have all engaged in foot patrols. Everyone has been asked to conduct Friday namaz at their local mosques after meetings with different stakeholders.
Meetings have also been held with the Jama Masjid mohalla committees, who have also made announcements encouraging people to give Friday namaz at their local mosques.I’m hoping the district will remain peaceful. Strict measures will be taken against anybody who attempts to disturb the peace.
Rajendra Pensia, the district magistrate, said earlier on Thursday that the police had carried out a flag march.
“On social media, a number of people have received warnings that any effort to disrupt the peace would not be accepted. Under BNS, action will be done in the event of any unfortunate situation. There is Section 163. “Five or more people cannot congregate in one location,” he said.
Two of the three access routes to the mosque, which is situated in the town’s center, were shut on Thursday, transforming Sambhal into a fortress.
The officials of the mosque should declare that there should be no gatherings, SP Sambhal Krishna Kumar suggested. “People have been advised to attend their local mosques for Friday prayers. Police have been closely monitoring social media. According to Section 151, two persons have been reported,” he said.
