The project’s filming is now taking place in Paris.
Florian Sanson is the production designer, Pascaline Chavanne is the costume designer, and Andre Chemetoff is the cinematographer. Bob Xu is an executive producer, while Zhang Xin and William Horberg of Closer Media are co-producing with Charles Gillibert of CG Cinema. Distribution in France will be handled by Pathe Films, which previously worked with Winocour on her “Revoir Paris,” which debuted at Cannes Directors’ Fortnight.
Meanwhile, Jolie’s depiction of the late opera legend Maria Callas in her most recent film, “Maria,” has garnered the Oscar winner praise. The Venice Film Festival saw the debut of Pablo Larrain’s drama, which focused on the opera singer’s last days before she passed away from a heart attack in 1977 at the age of 53.
Jolie spoke about her first day of singing lessons for the movie during the October “Maria” premiere in Los Angeles. “When I entered the piano room, someone said, ‘All right, let’s see where you are.'” And I became quite emotional. She said, “I took a deep breath, made a sound, and began crying.” “I think we all don’t realize how much we hold inside our bodies, and how much we carry and how much that affects our sound and our voice and our ability to make sound.”
