Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai praised ‘The Sabarmati Report’
Chhattisgarh: On Thursday, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai went to a special showing of the movie The Sabarmati Report in Raipur. “It’s a good movie,” Vishnu Deo Sai said in an interview with a media report. The truth about the Godhra tragedy will be known to the nation and the globe at large.
In addition to expressing his admiration for the movie, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced intentions to exempt it from taxes in his state.
“After watching this movie, I am considering making it tax-free in Goa; we will implement this decision in a few days,” Sawant said to a media report.
Notably, the governments of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh have already proclaimed the movie tax-free in their states.
“Today, I watched The Sabarmati Report with the state president and ministers of my party,” Pramod Sawant said in response to the film. This film is based on a factual story, something that very few directors pay attention to. I praise the performers and production for their excellent effort.
Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, had already seen the movie with the actors. He praised the film and its star, Vikrant Massey, in an interview with the media after the screening.
“Vikrant Massey and his group deserve praise for their efforts. On behalf of Uttar Pradesh, let me convey my sincere appreciation. The nation’s citizens have a right to know the truth about the attempts to sow discord in the community. Yogi Adityanath said, “In order to further promote this film, we will make it tax-free in the state.” Ridhi Dogra and Raashii Khanna play important parts in the movie as well.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already praised The Sabarmati Report, describing it as an important movie that clarifies the 2002 Godhra train carriage fire. The Prime Minister responded to a post on X that included the teaser for the movie, saying that it is admirable to see the “truth” come to light.
The Sabarmati Report, which was produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan, and Anshul Mohan and directed by Dheeraj Sarna, is based on the actual events surrounding the fire of the Sabarmati Express’s S-6 coach at Godhra.
