Sharjah Supreme Council Member issues an Amiri Decree on the formation of Al Bustan Suburban Council

UAE: Sharjah’s ruler and Supreme Council member, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, signed an Emiri Decree on Thursday establishing the Al Bustan Suburb Council in Dhaid.

Dr. Ali Salem Saif Issa Al Tunaiji will serve as the chairman of the Al Bustan Suburb Council in the city of Dhaid, which will be composed of Dr. Salem Musabah Obaid Mohammed Al Tunaiji, Ahmed Salem Ahmed Al Tunaiji, Salem Masoud Mohammed bin Yousef Al Tunaiji, Saif Mohammed Saeed Mohammed Al Shamsi, Musabah Mohammed Obaid bin Ahmed Al Tunaiji, Dr. Noura Mohammed Obaid bin Khalif Al Tunaiji, and Adija Obaid Khalfan Abdullah Al Tunaiji.

The Council will pick a Vice President at its first meeting by consensus or direct secret ballot and by a majority of those present, as per the Emiri Decree.

In the case of the Chairman of the Council’s absence or vacancy, the Vice President will assume all of his responsibilities.

According to the Decree, members of the Suburb Council will serve four-year terms beginning on the date of establishment and will continue to perform their responsibilities until a new Council is established.

Members may be reappointed for a single term once their current term has ended.
