Zelensky thanked partners for air defense
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy conveyed his sincere appreciation to foreign allies for their assistance in supplying Ukraine with missiles and air defense systems. He emphasized the need of these systems even more, pointing to the continuous Russian incursions on Ukrainian territory.
Partners should help provide defense systems like the Patriot, Zelenskyy argued.
“I am incredibly appreciative of all our partners who provide us with air defense systems and missiles,” Zelenskyy wrote on XOT. This is a really worldwide endeavor. Each time Russia launches such an assault, it emphasizes how important it is that allies provide Patriot and other systems to people who know how to save lives and who really need them, rather than leaving them inert in warehouses.”
“We’re still working toward that objective, but our friends haven’t given us all the systems we need yet. We will be considerably more capable of fending off assaults once these technologies are in place,” he wrote.
The Ukrainian president went on to say that giving the Ukrainian army long-range capabilities is one of the Victory Plan’s main components. He said, “The Victory Plan, which I submitted to our allies, is the strategy for bolstering Ukraine. Providing our army with long-range capability is one of its main components. The media has reported extensively today that we have been given permission to take appropriate measures. But words are not used to carry out strikes. These items aren’t made public. The missiles will do the talking.
Zelenskyy, meantime, denounced Russia’s most recent massive assault on Ukraine, in which 210 missiles and drones struck vital civilian targets, killing people, including children.
Zelenskyy shared another photo on X, writing, “One of the biggest Russian attacks on Ukraine started the morning. 210 drones and missiles were fired, including dozens of Shahed drones and aeroballistic and hypersonic missiles. They all went against civilian infrastructure, including vital establishments like transformers and power plants.
“Putin’s rhetoric drowns the globe, but his sole real message is one of death and devastation, sent by every Russian drone and missile. A nine-story residential building was struck by a Russian missile this evening. Deaths, including children, have been verified. A lot of individuals are injured. On the site, emergency personnel are making every effort to preserve lives. However, what is still lacking—and much needed—is the world’s moral response to this injustice,” the article said.
Zelenskyy further emphasized that the international community must take strong action, especially when the G20 leaders gather, and urged them “not to turn a blind eye to Russia’s continued terror.”
“G20 leaders are meeting today,” he said. They must not ignore Russia’s ongoing terror for the sake of the whole globe. The issue won’t change unless the globe takes significant action. North Korea has reacted poorly to Russia’s involvement in its conflict. For over a thousand days, Russia has persisted in its horror, and the world has yet to make a judgment. Ukraine offered the Peace Formula, a clear route to ending this conflict, at the G20 Summit two years ago. However, it hasn’t been put into practice. Now is the moment to take action. The G20 cannot afford apathy or weakness. It has to take on this problem head-on.
