Tamil Nadu Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin hits back at opposition leader Palaniswami for remarks on Karunanidhi-named schemes
Tamil Nadu: When opposition leader Edappadi K Palaniswami made remarks about plans named after Karunanidhi, the late DMK head and previous chief minister, Tamil Nadu Deputy head Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin retaliated.
Notably, AIADMK Chief E Palaniswami recently said that the DMK administration should use trust money rather than public cash if it intended to launch initiatives in Karunanidhi’s name. Additionally, he said that Karunanidhi-named projects would not be advantageous to the state’s citizens.
“What is wrong with naming the Government Schemes focusing on late Karunanidhi who worked for the people of Tamil Nadu until the age of 94?” was Udhayanidhi Stalin’s response to this in a post on X. Who came up with the titles for government programs like Amma Restaurant, Amma Cement, and Amma Salt back when the AIADMK was in power?
After Palaniswami accused the DMK-led administration of trying to politicize social programs by renaming existing programs after Karunanidhi, Udhayanidhi Stalin responded.
Stalin also said that Karunanidhi established contemporary Tamil Nadu by doing away with the hand rickshaw and introducing computer education. He also named government programs and erected monuments of Karunanidhi as a sign of our appreciation for him.
“The opposition leader won’t get this since he doesn’t know what ‘thank you’ means. By holding and cleaning her leg, he became the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. He is speaking in this way because he is unaware of the emotion of thankfulness. Give him a statue of the table he crawled on if he so desires. He went on, “Let us worship the Karunanidhi who created us.
Udhayanidhi Stalin attacked the AIADMK Chief, claiming that the opposition leader’s statements betrayed his irritation that “there is no one to praise him’ (EPS)” and his displeasure that “there is no one in AIADMK to praise him.”
“We are the social justice policy-grown crops that the leaders of the Dravidian movement are cultivating.” It is understandable why the uprooted weeds and the Aryan undergrowth are furious when we see them. “I am experienced no matter what – no one can see the path I have gone through,” the Leader of the Opposition said on X, awarding himself an Experience Certificate.
“When will you make a list of the books you’ve read through and stored safely at home? Did you find academics who can explain what the term “Dravid” in your party name means? Come critique us and respond to all of them. Your meaningless remarks and conceited chitchat will never halt our efforts to improve the lives of people,” the deputy chief minister of Tamil Nadu said.
