Chhattisgarh: Security forces killed 5 Naxalites in the Abujhmad forest on the Kanker Narayanpur border
Chhattisgarh: The gunfight between security personnel and Naxals in the Abujhmadh forest near the Kanker Narayanpur Border in Chhattisgarh began Saturday morning, resulting in the deaths of five Naxalites and the recovery of several weapons.
“The bodies of five Naxalites have been recovered thus far,” said IG Bastar P. Sundarraj. Additionally, a significant number of weapons have been found. The hunt is still ongoing. The clash has resulted in the injuries of two Jawans. They are safe. The necessary preparations are being undertaken to provide both wounded jawans with improved care. The firefight is still going on.
Two Jawans were flown to Raipur Hospital after suffering injuries during the clash. Right now, the firefight is in progress.
“As promised, the double-engine government is taking strong steps to make Bastar Naxal-free,” said Arun Sao, the deputy chief minister of Chhattisgarh. Our security troops are battling the Naxalites in isolated locations. By progressively ridding Bastar of the Naxals, we are advancing the region’s development.
On Friday evening, the security personnel carried out a search operation, according to Chhattisgarh Police. The goal of this significant encounter operation is to eliminate the Naxals in the Bastar area.
Security forces retrieved the remains of three Naxals, including a platoon commander who had a Rs 8 lakh reward, who were killed in an encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district on November 9, according to a senior police officer.
Additionally, a sizable arsenal of firearms was found in the region, according to Inspector General of Police (Bastar Range) Sundarraj P.
On November 8, in the wooded hills of Rekhapalli-Komathpalli, at the intersection of Usoor-Basaguda-Pamed, security personnel from the District Reserve Guard (DRG), Special Task Force (STF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the elite CoBRA unit, and Naxalites engaged in combat.
