Delhi: One person injured in firing incident at a petrol pump in Gokulpuri
New Delhi: According to Delhi Police, a shooting incident at a gas station in Gokulpuri on Thursday night left one person hurt.
“A shooting incident at a Gokulpuri gas station left one person wounded. A pillion rider opened fire when four individuals on two motorcycles came, Delhi Police said, adding that the wounded person was safe. Ansul Rathi has been recognized as the wounded party.
According to Delhi police, around 10.38 p.m. on Thursday, they got a report of seven or eight rounds of gunfire at a gas station in Gokulpuri.
“PCR sent the wounded Ansul Rathi to GTB hospital after he sustained minor abdominal glass shrapnel wounds. He has six years of experience as a supervisor. According to the preliminary investigation, four people on two motorcycles arrived at the gas pump, and one of the pillion riders shot sixteen bullets at the office cabin from outside. One of the bikes then escaped in the direction of Gokulpuri, while the other bike headed towards the Loni roundabout. According to Delhi police, Harish Chaudhary, the owner of the Gokulpuri pump, has suspicions of an ancient village feud.
According to the police, the victim was safe.
According to the police, there are still a few charges against Harish Chowdhary, the man whose gas station was attacked. Investigations are ongoing.
Senior Delhi Police officers visited the scene earlier to assess the security arrangements in response to an increase in shooting and snatching occurrences in the nation’s capital.
The police pickets were examined by senior police officers, including DCPs, who advised them to be vigilant in all circumstances.
Additional police personnel stationed at certain sites to maintain security or law and order are known as police pickets. Notably, Delhi has seen a number of snatching and fire instances for extortion in recent days.
