Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused Congress of minority reservation during Deoghar rally
Deoghar: During a campaign event in Sarath, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked the Congress for what he described as “dangerous intentions” pertaining to reservations for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC).
PM Modi said that Congress wants to erode the rights of these people and accused the party of continuously opposing reservation legislation. His remarks were part of a broader campaign to win over Jharkhand voters in the state’s upcoming assembly elections.
“The prince of Congress has made it clear that he wants to end the SC/ST/OBC reservation,” the prime minister said in his speech. His father, Rajiv Gandhi, had declared the end of reservations while he was the supreme head of the Congress. However, he lost the elections terribly because of the solidarity of the SC, ST, and OBC. Congress has never had an outright majority in the Central Government since that time. Even now, Congress has been completely destroyed in states with large populations of SC, ST, and OBC people.
In an effort to reduce the combined power of the SC, ST, and OBC populations, Congress is trying to split them apart, Modi said. Congress has devised a new conspiracy because of this. Congress has thrown dust in your eyes with a new game. According to him, these individuals want to destroy the SC/ST/OBC collective authority.
Modi then asked everyone to be alert and together. “I’m here to alert you and warn you. You must exercise more caution and keep in mind that you are protected if you are one,” he said.
Modi turned his attention to regional parties, accusing the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress, and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) of being only concerned with the welfare of their own families. “These individuals, whether they are members of Congress, JMM, or RJD, are solely focused on their family’s future. They never stop considering the advantages for their family. You are my family, however, and Modi is worried about you,” he said.
PM Modi further said that the Congress and JMM were stealing resources from the Jharkhand people. “JMM-Congress has stolen your coal, your sand and gravel, your land, your water, and your forests,” he reported. They took your government positions and your children’s documents and handed them to their favorite people. Whatever was taken was yours legally.
He said, “The status of women and daughters is very high in our culture. They destroyed your children’s future for their own, but Modi is busy improving the future of your family.” However, the leaders of Congress mistreat our women and use a lot of offensive language against Sita Soren. Where do they get the bravery to take this action? Since the JMM government is protecting them, they are certain that nothing bad will happen to them. Congressmen disrespect indigenous girls for this reason. The Congress made every effort to stop the BJP from installing a tribal daughter as president of India. They still disparage President Murmu now.
The alleged infiltration of foreigners into Jharkhand, which he said is affecting the tribal community in areas like Santhal, was another issue that PM Modi brought up during his speech. “Infiltration has been the main concern wherever I have visited in Jharkhand. According to statistics, Santhal’s tribal population has shrunk to half. Modi said that the Congress-JMM administration has reportedly done nothing to halt this migration and has even tried to make the infiltrators permanent residents of Jharkhand. “We have to protect our tribal families and every Jharkhandi from this,” Modi stated.
Modi gave the audience his word that protecting Jharkhand’s culture and indigenous resources will be a top priority for the BJP. “The main concern in this election is the preservation of ‘Roti, Beti, and Maati’ (food, daughters, and land). I promise that they would be protected by the BJP-NDA administration.
“Jharkhandi pride and the identity of Jharkhand have been your strengths,” Modi said, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the state’s distinct character and culture. What would occur if this identity disappeared? Others will take over your land, water, and woods. We must save Jharkhand from this predicament as well as my tribal folks.”
Modi urged voters to back the BJP as the first round of voting got under way, promising that the party’s pledges for young opportunity and women’s empowerment will create a brighter future for Jharkhand. “Jharkhand is holding its first round of voting today. At every booth today, the determination to save bread, daughter, and land is evident,” Modi said. He highlighted the broad support he saw at his rallies, which showed that the BJP was gaining ground in Jharkhand.
Modi greeted the audience with joy and added, “I hope you all have a wonderful Neman celebration. We are going to commemorate Dharti Aba Birsa Munda’s 150th birthday in only two days. Every region of India will celebrate this holiday, and you have already shattered all previous records in this democratic celebration.”
Voting in 43 of the state’s 81 seats started Wednesday at 7 a.m. as part of the first phase of the Jharkhand assembly elections. On November 20, elections will be held for the remaining 38 seats. November 23 is when the votes will be counted.
