Maharashtra Assembly elections: PM Modi stresses on tribal unity

Prime Minister Narendra Modi intensified his criticism of the Congress on Tuesday as the Maharashtra election draws near, accusing the party of weakening and “dividing” the Adivasi people into castes.

In Chandrapur, Maharashtra, Prime Minister Modi was campaigning for Mahayuti candidates running in the next assembly elections.

Speaking at a public gathering, Prime Minister Modi stated: “Roughly 10% of our nation’s population is tribal. Congress seeks to undermine the Adivasi population by dividing them into castes.

Speaking to the populace, he said that Congress wants you to quarrel among yourself and lose your togetherness.

At the ceremony, he reiterated his catchphrase, “Ek rahenge toh safe rahenge,” and warned tribal people against caste division.

“The Adivasi group would lose its identity and power if it is split up into castes. In a faraway nation, the prince of Congress made this announcement. We must remain together and avoid joining the Congress plot. “Ek rahenge toh safe rahenge,” the prime minister said.

He went on to emphasize the accomplishments of the Mahayuti administration over the last two and a half years.

“During the last two and a half years, progress has doubled in pace. The state with the most foreign investment is Maharashtra. More than 100 railway stations are being renovated, twelve Vande Bharat trains are in operation, and new highways and airports have been built,” PM Modi said.

He emphasized that Aghadi cannot control the region’s growth and admitted that the Congress and Aghadi would not allow rail connection in the area.

“For years, the people of Chandrapur have been calling for train connection, but Congress and Aghadi have prevented that from happening… Aghadi cannot keep up with Maharashtra’s fast growth. They have a PhD in the development of brakes. PM Modi said, “And Congress is a double PhD in it.”

In addition, he said, “Aghadi yani Bhrastrachar ke sab se bade khiladi.”

Questioning the crowd, PM Modi questioned if Chimbur residents would allow the MVA to halt the city’s progress.

“Kya aap inhe licensed milne denge kya dobara loot ka? Khazana bharne denge kya, loot karne denge kya? The Prime Minister said, “Will you allow the MVA to halt Maharashtra’s progress?”

In a scathing statement, Prime Minister Modi criticized the Mahayuti government’s rapid pace of operation, claiming that Chandrapur residents are the clearest examples of how these Aghadi parties impede development.
Voting will take place on November 20 and the count will take place on November 23.

Congress, the Nationalist Congress Party (SCP), headed by Sharad Pawar, and the Shiv Sena (UBT), led by Uddhav Thackeray, make up the opposition MVA.
