Baba Siddique Murder Case: Kila court sent the main accused and four other accused to police custody till November 19

Baba Siddique Murder Case: Shiva Kumar, the primary suspect and gunman in the Baba Siddique murder case, and four other suspects were placed under police custody till November 19 by Mumbai’s Killa Court on Monday.

A combined UP Special Task Force (STF) and Mumbai Crime Branch squad nabbed all of the suspects from the Nanpara neighborhood of Uttar Pradesh’s (UP) Bahraich on Sunday.

On October 12, three attackers shot and killed NCP leader Baba Siddique next to the office of his son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique, in Nirmal Nagar, Mumbai.

The murder has been attributed to the group run by imprisoned mobster Lawrence Bishnoi.

Following the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, the Mumbai Crime Branch has disclosed that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had another Pune leader on its radar. The gang had plans to kill the latter and had assigned its shooters to carry out the crime.

According to information obtained from a top Mumbai Crime Branch official, the Mumbai Crime Branch’s investigation has shown that the Bishnoi gang was also considering a prominent Pune leader after the murder of Baba Siddique.

“The Lawrence Bishnoi gang was planning to kill the Pune leader too, and the responsibility of carrying out the crime was given to the shooters involved in Plan B,” according to the officer.

According to the official, the issue was discovered when the Mumbai Crime Branch found a handgun that was intended to be used in the crime.

The leader’s identity has not been revealed by the Crime Branch.

The Crime Branch provided Pune Police with the information and inputs after the revelation of the Bishnoi gang’s scheme.

The authorities are also looking into whether or not the accused in this instance conducted the reconnaissance.
