Delhi: Body of a 7-year-old boy who fell into a drain in Mustafabad recovered after 4 days

New Delhi: Four days after the incident, on Sunday, the police retrieved the corpse of a seven-year-old kid who had fallen into a sewer in the Mustafabad neighborhood of Delhi.

On the evening of October 23, the youngster had slipped and fallen into the sewer. His parents recognized his corpse after it was recovered on Sunday.

“The father of the boy, a resident of Chaman Park, Indira Vihar, Delhi, had visited the Gokal Puri Police Station and filed a missing report of his son around 6 pm on October 24,” according to the police.

A case under Section 137(2) BNS was filed at the Gokal Puri Police Station in response to the complaint.

The area’s CCTV cameras were reviewed, and attempts were made to track down the youngster. In order to inspect and look for hints, the surrounding police stations in Ghaziabad and Loni were also placed on notice.

The youngster was found on the sidewalk and fell into a sewer at 5:53 p.m. on October 23 as the police were reviewing CCTV video of another location close to Rajdhani Public School, Babu Nagar, Mustafabad Delhi, near Shiv Vihar Tiraha.

Along with the victim’s relatives, the police arrived on the scene right away and searched the sewer.

After being discovered and removed from the sewer, the missing boy’s corpse was sent to GTB Hospital for a postmortem investigation.

The topic is now being investigated further.
