Kamala Harris issues “extremely serious” warning about bringing Trump back to the White House in her DNC speech

At the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Thursday night, Vice President Harris—who is of Indian and African descent—accepted her party’s candidacy, making history as the second female Democratic nominee.
The crowd erupted in cheers and gave the 59-year-old leader a standing ovation as soon as he entered the platform. “Yes You Can!” chants broke out before she spoke.
As she took the stage at Chicago’s United Center to receive her nomination, Harris acknowledged she has traveled down unusual paths before.
“On behalf of the people, on behalf of every American, regardless of party, race, gender or the language your grandmother speaks, on behalf of my mother and everyone who has ever set out on their own unlikely journey on behalf of Americans, like the people I grew up with, people who work hard, chase their dreams and look out for one another, on behalf of everyone whose story could only be written in the greatest nation on earth, I accept your nomination the United States,” she stated.
She spoke about her mother Shyamala Gopalan and said how much she misses her every day, particularly now that she is on the brink of shattering the nation’s highest glass ceiling.
According to her, the election on November 5th is the most significant in American history.
With this election, our country has a unique and brief chance to put the past’s resentment, cynicism, and polarizing conflicts behind us. An opportunity to forge a fresh course. In her forty-minute address, she said, “Not as members of any one party or faction, but as Americans.”
If Vice President Harris is chosen to be the 47th President of the United States, she will present her ideas for a “new way forward.”
She outlined the fallout if former President Donald Trump is elected to a second term.
She issued a warning: “In many ways, Donald Trump is an unserious man, but putting him back in the White House will have extremely serious consequences.”
She mentioned the “chaos and calamity” of his tenure in the White House and brought up his criticism of the 2020 election results after his campaign for reelection was unsuccessful.
“Donald Trump attempted to squander your votes. When it failed, he sent an armed mob to attack law enforcement officials at the US Capitol. He disregarded the pleas of lawmakers of his own party to disband the crowd and provide assistance. He stoked the fires,” she said.
Harris also emphasized that a federal jury in Trump’s civil defamation lawsuit concluded that the former president had sexually assaulted writer E Jean Carroll, and that Trump had been found guilty on 34 criminal charges in a hush money case.
“A jury of regular Americans found him guilty of fraud, and he was also found liable for sexual abuse,” she stated.
She pledged to keep America’s global leadership intact and to make sure it grows.
In addition, she said that “America, not China, wins the competition for the 21st century”. She also affirmed her support for NATO allies and Ukraine.
Trump responded to Harris’ address on Truth Social in real time.
“Is she discussing me?” Trump made a post.
In a series of quick posts, the former president criticized Harris’ address, stating things like, “Too many ‘Thank yous,’ too rapidly said,” and “A lot of talk about childhood.”
Trump questioned Harris on a number of occasions as to why she hadn’t implemented the policy recommendations she had made during her vice presidential campaign for reelection.
“Chart a new road ahead,” she stated, but in the three and a half years since then, all she has accomplished is HARM!” Trump wrote.
