Kristin Cavallari breaks her silence on ex-husband Jay Cutler’s arrest
Regarding the arrest of her ex-husband Jay Cutler, Kristin Cavallari is speaking out.
The 37-year-old actress of “Very Cavallari” voiced her opinions on a Tuesday episode of her podcast “Let’s Be Honest” after Cutler’s arrest in Tennessee on Thursday for both gun possession and DUI.
Cavallari said in a statement at the beginning of the program that the episode was filmed prior to a “very public incident happened last week with my ex-husband,” which she subsequently touched on in passing.
“I do, of course, wish Jay nothing but the best, and I do hope that he gets the help that he needs,” she said. “But that’s the only thing I will be saying about it publicly.”
In Tennessee, Cutler, a former NFL quarterback, was taken into custody after a “minor traffic collision.” Two firearms were discovered in his vehicle, and police said that he was slurring his speech and had a heavy alcohol odor.
He was charged with one offense of driving under the influence, one count of violating the implied consent legislation, one count of failing to use reasonable caution to prevent an accident, and one count of carrying a weapon while intoxicated.
Jay Cutler, a former NFL quarterback, was arrested in Tennessee for possessing a pistol and driving under the influence.
Cutler and Cavallari announced their divorce in 2020 after being married in 2013. They have three kids together. Cutler appeared in the 2018–2020 season of “Very Cavallari,” his ex-wife’s E! reality show.
In a June podcast episode, Cavallari said that she got “very thin” while shooting “Very Cavallari” as a result of marital stress.
Kristin Cavallari discusses her breakup with her 24-year-old boyfriend: “He will thank me one day.”
At the moment, she added, “I’ll put it in perspective for you guys,” “I’m 5’3” . Right now, I weigh 114 pounds. I reached 102 when filming “Very Cavallari,” and I was consuming the same quantity of food as I do today. The difference was that I was really stressed out and dissatisfied.
She went on, “I was skin and bones,” “I believe my appearance has greatly improved. And it was just stress, you guys. To be honest, it was the result of being in a really miserable marriage. Literally, I mean. I was very unhappy.
In 2020, Cavallari declared her separation with Cutler to be “just the situation of two people growing apart.”
“With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce,” she said. “We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of.”
Cavallari made waves earlier this year when she disclosed that she had a new boyfriend, Mark Estes, who is 24 years old. Their 13-year age difference sparked criticism. The “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County” actress revealed that she and Estes had split up in September. They broke up when she “started to feel” their age difference and disparities in life experiences, she subsequently said on her podcast.
“I look back (at) when I was 24 and how much life has happened for me in between then, and I mean, those are crucial years,” she said. “Those are the years of form. You discover who you are at this point. And he must be capable of doing it.
Cavallari spoke about breakups in the segment of Tuesday’s podcast that was taped before Cutler was arrested, reflecting that her “heart broke” when her marriage ended.
“Even though I’m the one that walked away, it was not what I wanted,” she said. It was different from what I had imagined. And I did my best to do whatever I could. When you have a strong desire but are unable to achieve it, it is devastating. I would say that for years, my marriage crushed my heart.
Prior to the divorce, Cavallari also recounted that she “clenched” her “jaw for so many months,” but that “as soon as I got out, it stopped.”
However, she informed the audience that she and Cutler are now in the “greatest position that we’ve been in,” adding, “It took four years, but things are very well with us now. It’s been four and a half years. Anyone can get there if I convince you that Jay and I can.
