Delhi cops probing possible Khalistani link in blast
Following a powerful explosion on Sunday that breached the wall of a CRPF school in Rohini, Delhi, a multi-agency investigation was started to identify the cause of the explosion and identify the individuals responsible. But according to a senior police official, the authorities are looking into a potential Khalistani connection to the explosion, as Media reported.
The explosion from the IED tore through a wall of the school in Rohini, damaging several surrounding automobiles and stores, although no one was harmed in the event. According to a senior police official who spoke to Media, it is believed that the offenders intended to convey a message to the authorities.
According to sources who spoke to Media, a message on social media said that the explosion was a reaction to Indian agents purportedly targeting pro-Khalistan separatists. This prompted the Delhi Police to look into any possible Khalistani connection to the bomb.
The device was most likely detonated late on Saturday night and was an IED that was possibly triggered by a remote control or a timer without any lethal shrapnel. Residents said that the bomb went off on Sunday between 7.35 and 7.40 am.
Later on Sunday night, social media users started sharing a fictitious screenshot of a Justice League India Telegram message that included a video of the explosion and a watermark reading “Khalistan Zindabad” at the bottom.
“They live in a fool’s world if the Indian coward agency and their master believe they can use dirty thugs to attack our members in an effort to stifle our voice. The Justice League of India said in the post that included the video, “They can’t comprehend how near we are to them and how capable we are to strike anytime #KhalistanZindabad #JLI.”
The event occurs after bomb threats were made to many aircraft in India throughout the course of the previous week, all of which proved to be false.
Teams from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Delhi Police, National Security Guard (NSG), and National examination Agency (NIA) sealed off the area and gathered samples for further examination shortly after the explosion.
According to an officer, the criminal “intentionally” chose the location to convey a message rather than do damage to the individuals.
